Re: Reretaken Down

Bottom of page 2? Time to bump this thread. The 7/1 USA Today crossword had me needing every cross to finish it at 48D Is really good (5) Erik Agard is now the editor (the puzzles are better since this happened) and the constructor was Zhouqin Burnikel. The answer was: SLAPS I realize I'm well past...

Thanks. It was better than she made it sound and if I hadn’t known Alex threw her a curve I wouldn’t have noticed. But I am sure everyone feels their chat segment was worse than it looked. There was a UK Jeopardy on YouTube where the contestants got through both rounds a lot faster than they antici...

Re: 2020 Current Events Discussion Thread

This is not really a poll. It's more of an informal query, but I welcome any feedback, private or public. Although as a freelancer I'm busier than ever during the pandemic, I have somehow also managed to be in a position to catch more news as it happens and post appropriate items to the Current Eve...

Re: Final Jeopardy! Clues

THE DREADED OPERA CATEGORY Due to COVID-19, St. Petersburg's Mariinsky Theatre rescheduled their performance of this opera to the 9th, 10th, 12th, and 13th of December. What is the Ring Cycle? Good clue, with a tricky TOM, but is the Ring Cycle a single opera? Too bad they couldn't stretch it to a ...

Re: Learned League 85 - Official Thread

All I need is one 3-pointer in the last 3 MDs to top my previous record of 15 in a season. That number probably explains why I'm in 4th place right now, even though I'm in the bottom half for correct answers this time around.

Was anybody else distracted by this: This "Rebellion" is known by what alliterative name, which it was given ... I wanted to answer Rum Rebellion, but since "Rebellion" was in the clue, I answered Rum Revolution (and got credit for a correct answer). I assume just "Rum" would have sufficed. Is this...

And if you thought Friday played hard ... someone must have pissed Thorsten off, because the average get rate Monday was a whopping 26%. I track some really good players, and there wasn't a single 9(6) among them. Every person who has won an LL Championship scarf missed the Sesame Street question y...

Seeing MARQUEE "MOON" as a category really makes me wish there was a RnR J!-Archive. That album by Television hasn't appeared on the regular show (as far as we know, of course), but I can imagine it having shown up on Probst's show.

Yeah, I've missed this enough times to finally get it today. It's a perfect example of Jeopardy Canon, a fact that they love, especially for FJ, that they go to the well for over and over. Kaitlyn Olsen's $125,000 question was an instaget for me as Cephalic phase was a question on a re-run episode of "The Chase" this week. :o Per a poster on Reddit, the 2 questions were worded identically, down to the multiple choices, save that Millionaire had a 4th choice added. https://old.reddit....
