Re: LL79: For the LLamas

Well, that's what I get for assuming a woman must have played with Barbies. Back into the relegation zone, Doof.

It didn't help that I also glossed over the word "Restoration" in the Meiji question. I put "Chrysanthemum Throne."

I did the same thing as Andy. Man. All the classic tv trivia I did as a kid and I never heard this. Not that it wasn't also very workoutable. I feel for ya, bro.

Re: LL79: For the LLamas

I had no idea about "too big to fail" before this: http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=5424 I didn't miss it this time. Oof, that FJ wager. I had forgotten he did that. My opponent missed it. I stuck the 0 there, never considering the pangram is frequently misquoted. Just another dumb los...

The Golden State Warriors are the Sports Illustrated Sportsmen of the Year. I think they are just the second team to win the award after the 1980 US Olympic hockey team.
Look at the avatar of the post just above yours and think 2004. ;)
And for what it's worth, there is a 4th, for 1999.

Re: LL79: For the LLamas

I put down the only sport starting with SS I could think of: synchronized swimming. I have no idea what the individual competition for that is supposed to look like. Synchronized swimming and speed skating were all I could think of. While your concern about synchro is in regard to what individual c...

Re: LL79: For the LLamas

I'd like to know how many people who got Wole Soyinka correct have been in the league long enough to remember the last time Thorsten asked about him (LL61 D20 Q2 - https://learnedleague.com/question.php?61&20&2). Q% of 11% back then, so at least he's consistently obscure. I've been around long enou...

Re: LL79: For the LLamas

I had one of my best sets with this one, only missing the concert hall (guessing Royal Albert instead). I was completely unfamiliar with the name of that venue and even the term "brutalist architecture." I missed that one, too. I figured it was going to be something I'd heard of, but gotta say Barb...

I have a long term goal,

I am asking for anybody who has time to put in any season 1-12 episodes that are missing.
Stop posting things like this. We'll get to them when we have them or have time. It's not "your goal" to demand or command.

The producers promise the ceremony will not go over three hours.
And the host will not be over three feet.

I had no idea Boeing was no longer HQed in the Pacific Northwest. United was the best I could do for an aeronautics company based in Chicago. Without the Chicago bit, I bet more people would have gotten it, including me. I knew it in 2001 (I checked). https://i.imgur.com/hQBag0r.jpg Full 3-12-2001 ...

One other thing, about the missing category name in the jeopardy round (on the october 26 1993 episode) (I hate to sound like a jerk and if i do I apologize), but I WOULD THINK the odds are it's a name that was used in a previously entered game,)
Huh?

Re: J-Archive Web Scraper

I dunno if you're actually wondering or if you're just messing with SweepingDeveloper, but I'll assume the former. If you have other applications that use the Jeopardy clues, this could be useful, so that you can get formatted text files or something that would be easy for your app to read. I scrap...
