culxnthusst03 has uploaded the 9/11/95 episode on the Internet Archive:

I have a little time here at work, so I've started this game, but any other archivist can take the following games if they want. I've still got a pretty healthy queue at home.

Good to see you back FJguy. I was a little worried yesterday.

Felicity is catching the academic clues in FJ that others are missing. That bodes well for her. I matched Jeff, but I could tell I was overlooking something.

Re: 2020 Current Events Study Guide

Outside of the Jeopardy canon, but worth knowing about, children's author Tomie dePaola has passed away at the age of 85. His most famous creation is probably Strega Nona, "a kindly 'grandma witch,'...who helps her fellow Calabrian townspeople with magic and an eternally full pasta pot." https://www...

January 2, 2002, Kevin Au vs. Christine Walker vs. Mark Lee. http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=1138 Quick thoughts: ROLE IN COMMON is a fact I look up all the time, but I usually run through 2 or 3 other characters before hitting on the correct one. We welcome the clarinet glissando from...

Monya De is another of those who auditioned at Trivia Nationals in August. So far, I think none have won from this cohort (please correct me).
Aha. That's why the name was familiar. Thanks. She has quite a résumé.

Re: Friday, March 27, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

I unfortunately reasoned the reverse way, thinking that Truman was probably the negbait since TV was pretty well established in households by the late forties. I knew the first broadcast station had been in operation since even before FDR's first election, and that sporting events and news programs...

Re: Friday, March 27, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

The chain is actually called "General Nutrition Center" while Matt said "Nutritional." I was surprised they didn't change his score. The clue has "Centers" and Wikipedia agrees. I heard "Nutrition" by Matt and the CC agrees for how I archived it. We'll see if another post wants to break the tie. It...

Note to self: Don't go in and do correction suggestions while you still have the "Edit game" window open in another tab. Because one way or the other, you're gonna lose some work, dummy.

My thanks to whomever was hot on the ball with those typos in the current game, though.

Myron...The guy in your COTG was an LL question a couple years ago. That may be what you are thinking about. Re: New old games in the J! Archive

I was hoping to have this game entered on it's 18-year airdate anniversary. Nearly 3 months later, here is January 1, 2002, Mark Lee vs. Amanda Brown vs. Tom Unsworth. http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=1137 Mark Lee's game 1, 2, 3, and 5 will be the final parts of my chunk of 2002, and I...

Re: New old games in the J! Archive

Is there an agreed-upon standard for board games getting italics or not? The archive is not consistent while I know correction suggestions will come in about it. From the manual: Major work titles--TV series, books, films, albums, plays and operas, albums--(or fractions thereof) should be italicize...

Q1. LITERATURE - The Children of Gebalaawi, The Thief and the Dogs, the Cairo Trilogy, and Miramar are all works of what African novelist, who survived an assassination attempt in October 1994? NAGUIB MAHFOUZ I got this one from Prisoner of Trebekistan, but I bobbled the name, thanks to comic book ...

Hi I'm new here. I have a VHS for 9/13/1991. I'd love to send it to someone. Do you guys digitize the video, or take down the questions/answers and scores?
Thanks!

Thorsten now has unlimited advanced access for the rest of the season if you need it. I also noticed you can now block people from tracking you if you want. Is there somewhere to see if you are being tracked? And are you saying you can select who tracks you, or just make it so no one can track you?...

Re: J! to Tape Without Live Audience

A poster on Reddit reported that they just had an audition in L.A. when they were told that they could be called today (Monday) for a taping as early as next week. It looks like they're planning to stock up on local players, should travel restrictions be beefed up. https://old.reddit.com/r/Jeopardy/...

Re: Learned League 84

I had one of my more disappointing misses yesterday on the Stone's song. The clue included this phrase: exactly one has a title which is, in its one-word entirety, a common female first name . I'm pretty sure I mulled over "Angie", but decided on "Gloria" ("G-L-O-R-I-A) because the rule with Thorst...
