It would have been better if they'd asked him to be more specific. Tinea is ringworm; tinea pedis is ringworm of the foot, aka athlete's foot.

I'd argue "ringworm" is not a correct enough answer for the clue as written.

Dolores O’Riordan, singer of the Cranberries, has died suddenly at age 46. No zombie jokes, please.
Jeopardy connection: the Cranberries' 1993 full-length debut album, Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?, was released on Island Records, subject of a recent FJ!.

Myron, do you or anybody know what the runner-up prizes were in that episode we just archived? Either that or the end credits would tell us what the runner-up prizes were in the November 25, 1992 episode.
I assume somebody knows. I bet Marcia Begerod does.

http://www.j-archive.com/showgame.php?game_id=5875 Moving right along on the David Frazee tapes, we have November 25, 1992, Susan Hodges vs. Tim Buthod vs. a woman named Marcia. The tape had both the intros and the first part of the contestant interviews cut off, so I'm afraid that's all we know of ...

Re: HQ Trivia

Unless I misunderstood the question on tonight's game, seems like they screwed up pretty badly on one of the questions. They claimed Abu Dhabi was a COUNTRY. I specifically avoided that choice for that very reason. Can anyone confirm or did I just misread the question? From what I've seen elsewhere...

Mass protests against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Khomeini, and the mullahs, with the symbol of the revolution so far being a woman who ripped off her hijab. (Compulsory hijabs were instituted in Iran in 1979 after the coup and rarely worn before then) Hundreds have been arrested thus f...

Re: 2017 Current Events Study Guide

The dingbats at Entertainment Weekly couldn't be bothered to name an Entertainer of the Year for 2017, instead just listing their 15 favorites. Lame. The year-end issue did have one of my favorite features, though, the guest obits for people who died the previous year. So, given the author of the re...

Also, I dig the Reddit embed thing. The new version of the Board software has some pretty cool features.

I know it doesn't count at all if you do what I do on most all 1DSs, which is just click the top 5 money boxes and submit. Why would you do this? Why waste time on quizzes where I can only answer a question or two? I'll just read the questions and answers together to see what I can learn from it. I...

"Priestly tribe" = Levi, Levites, or Leviticus, has 3 hits in the Archive (including today's game). Absolutely worth remembering, especially since all 3 hits are also Daily Doubles, and 2 of the were misses (including the one that was asking for the 3rd book of the Bible). Watching the show continue...
