Alex threw just about every jinx at Emma at the beginning of the game, and on a couple of occasions during the game. It almost worked, but 3-leaf clover doesn't bring luck to the person who picks it, and thus the ancient curse was broken.
I saw what you did there. :D

Was at Nashville auditions today. Two tests. Don't know if knowledge base just matched well, but the first was pretty darn easy. Second just a little tougher. Crazy how much easier it was than the online, though...

Re: J! in the Media

Not sure if this counts as "media" but The Straight Dope message board has a discussion about James's run that morphs into a discussion about changing the way the game is played.

Re: So...what have we learned so far from James Holzhauer?

I'm not sure if this is the right thread, but in thinking about James's phenomenal run, I can't help but wonder if another advantage he has is that he has two opponents, both of whom would like to win. Often it seems like his opponents are knocking each other out trying to keep up with James.

earendel - 39 (ineligible, already appeared on Jeopardy)
Are you sure about that?
No, I've never been on J! I was on WWTBAM in 2000 (as can be seen from my avatar).

Re: Online Test Recap & Discussion (Eastern), April 9, 2019

This is probably the worst I've done since the online test started. Only 38 out of 50. Misses: 6 (put Mackenzie), 7 (no clue), 10 (put Shell), 11 (no clue), 14 (no clue), 15 (put Nepal), 17 (no clue), 23 (put Poe), 32 (put Amblin), 46 (put tango), 47 (put genus), 50 (no clue). Why are people saying a comedian wouldn't work for a host?
Remember Cedric The Entertainer's short tenure on Millionaire?
And Terry Crews also.

Johnson. Don't worry about which one as Alex will give it to you. that crap is so annoying...all of those senators/presidents pretty much fit that bill as well...as well as most of the stuff asked on the show But in the context of the clue, only one Johnson would fit - only Andrew was almost "ex-pr...

The online test is for anyone/anywhere, right? The cities make an impact if one were to qualify? That's how I understood it but would love to know the full process. Thanks all! Yes, anyone can take the test. However I believe you must register and choose an audition city; if you are fortunate enoug...

Re: 2019 Current Events Study Guide

NASA's Opportunity Mars rover ends its mission. Expected to last for 90 days, the rover sent back data for 15 years. Its last communication with Earth was in June 2018, but scientists hoped that winds would clear the solar panels that powered the rover. That didn't happen and NASA officially declare...
