Re: Zach Horan (legendneverdies) Banned
I want to personally thank the mods for this move. I have plenty of ZH stories, and they continued after the my appearances (once Julia won so many games, he made sure to to rub it in). I think it's helpful to have this thread to discuss why something that seems merely annoying is more than that, an...

Re: Timing of Audition Invite Emails
Hubs and I are totally in favor of couples J! Our knowledge bases don't overlap a ton, so what I don't know, he knows, and vice versa. We're unstoppable as a Trivial Pursuit team, but nobody lets us play together. Good luck to all the Boston auditioners...maybe I'll see you there! Gotta give my guy ...

Re: Timing of Audition Invite Emails
I'm super excited to report that my hubs (my Baker's Dozen) got an audition for Boston in October! We thought that window had closed this year, but apparently they're doing more auditions in Boston. Anyone else get the email?

Re: where to find same day questions and answers
Can anyone on here tell me a website for the games that are already played? Does todays game board be found anywhere I need to prove to someone I'm smarter than him Cheating is good. No money involved Thanks You need to find an area of the country (Indiana works) where the TV gets two different air...

Congrats, Brendan! If one was to start diving into your bibliography, is there a reading order you suggest? I'm sure I'm not the only one wondering.

Knowing Mike Reno might be a gender thing...if you were a girl of a certain age in the 1980s (as I was), you KNEW who the hottie with the bandanna and leather pants was: he was your Loverboy! That was an instaget for me <insert heart and smoochie emoticon>

Re: 500 Questions [POSSIBLE SPOILERS]
I gotta say, having seen the whole thing, I'm glad I didn't get cast. I was in the middle of a crazy week at work during filming and would have had a hard time rescheduling stuff. And if I'd done all of that, only to go and not get on or only be the challenger and not walk away with any coin? Not wo...

Re: Friday, May 29, 2015 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]
So, Jamie Lee Curtis is supposed to have starred in a TV movie about a Playboy Playmate that is 10 years younger than her? Pamela Anderson was a horrible guess.
I'm a bit surprised that they gave Dan MIT considering how scribbly his answer was. I thought that was generous.

Hubs and I both got FJ right away, and hubs pointed out that this was a good time to spell it Hamlin instead of Hamelin if you were the least bit unsure. If it was actually spelled Hamlin, they probably wouldn't accept Hamelin as a correct answer.

Re: Celebrity Jeopardy?
I'm late to the party in this thread, but I'm weighing in to say that Ginger Zee is a graduate of Valparaiso University, the fine school where both Russ Schumacher and I went to school! We're both rooting for her -- Valpo doesn't get a lot of notice outside of occasional NCAA basketball appearances.

Re: Wednesday, April 15, 2015 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the triple stumper that made me laugh harder than anything else I've ever seen on Jeopardy!, and not because anyone did anything particularly bad. OMG, does anyone know what I mean? I laughed so hard that my husband asked me what was so funny, and we backed u...

Re: Chu Chu Train = Salon Aboard!
Context matters. To morally judge a person, it's unfair to judge them against anything but the time and circumstances in which they lived. Keep in mind there are undoubtedly countless things we do today we think little of that will be seen as backwards and evil at some time in the future. Even some...

Re: Chu Chu Train = Salon Aboard!
I'll agree that more slave owners than not were probably racist. There are just a couple of unanswered questions that make me not come down in judgment on the whole lot of them. 1. Who would do the work in the absence of slaves? As I mentioned before, it's not like they could get a bunch of teenage...

Re: Monday, April 13, 2015 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]
What was the opening comment from Trebek about? Was there some discussion of Alex's poker playing success being an advantage that I missed, or was it something else? Just about some chatter about how the returning champion (didn't mention Alex by name) has an advantage, but only if the exact same c...

Re: LL64: For the LLamas Among Us
Gave a point away with bad defense and even worse question reading. Read the question, recognized the quote, gave the name of the character instead of the book. If I end up relegated this season, I'll know exactly when and where I earned it. If it makes you feel better, I made the exact same mistak...

Re: LL64: For the LLamas Among Us
I thought La Boheme was nasty neg bait on the Puccini question, with the Broadway musical "Rent" having come out in approximately the correct time period. New Delhi is easy to confuse with the megalopolis of Delhi (also known as the National Capital Territory of India) of which it is a part, and wh...

Got suckered into parallelogram and knish. I knew Bow Wow Wow's singer was Asian, and when I thought about their music and Adam Ant's sound, I figured it had to be right.
