Re: SHC Round 1 Instant Replay Thread [SPOILERS]

Hyperdrive is faster than light travel. So is warp drive. Different fictional universes, so saying whether they are the same or not delves more deeply into fandom than I'm willing to go without an inoculation. Since the question explicitly referenced the Star Wars franchise (not to mention the Clon...

Re: SHC Round 1 Instant Replay Thread [SPOILERS]

So, I'm confused as to whether I HAD to include chill in the dill pill category or whether the "relax" part of the clue was just for show. I only put dill pill because of this confusion, and I don't know whether I'm wrong or not. Ditto with me. I didn't know if the relax was just a gratuitous flour...

mrbungle: LOL about "dumbphone." (I use one, too, and I'm proud of it!) Is it weird that I've never heard of that Poe story? LOTS of people got that right! It's one of Poe's better known stories, so those with a familiarity with his work will likely recall it. His work that stands out to me is: The...

I think I'll call out Gnash/Gneq in an attempt to draw him back into the fold (not to mention the fact that last year he and I played leapfrog in the standings for most of the SHC).

Re: SHC Round 1 Instant Replay Thread [SPOILERS]

Was Twain really the correct answer for the 6 clue in the second category? I know, I should just Pavlov to him any time anyone mentions Missouri in the 19th Century, but it didn't seem like the correct answer to me. Yup, it was. The other clue (leading me to a WAG on it) was that, at 6 points, it w...

Re: Easier to find Jeopardy forum and Jeopardy discussions

I found the old board when Googling for the answers to an online J! test. I suspect that as this board gets more use and, especially, when online testing rolls around again, more people will find their here if so minded.

Hey guyzzz! Just got done talking with my chem professor who I believe was in the July 14 3 pm audition session. Says he had a great time! Just curious if anyone remembered him. Good luck to all! Cool, Hans! I hope that he makes it onto the show and I get to go up against him. Chem Prof smackdown o...

It's like a full time job scoring this thing. Now that I understand how it's scored, I actually have ideas for how to do an Excel sheet to score it for you automatically. I didn't really have a clear enough grasp before. I created an Excel file for scoring TDs that I have shared with a number of bo...

That's me! According to Glenn, Grand Rapids is farther, and unfortunately his determination was the one that mattered. :) Like I said, I don't own a Wii anyway, so no skin off my nose! I feel great sympathy: in my Orlando audition, I would've been the furthest-removed participant had Glenn not deci...
