Re: Thursday, July 13, 2017 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

The second straight day that Gavin's been champ, but not by any coincidence. Yes, this was one of those "What if" moments. Terry's backfire on the DD killed his stride and Gavin must be breathing a sigh of relief right there for the fact that during FJ!, Jill bet something, and she did...all of her ...

Re: Monday, July 10, 2017 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

Man...this game took a rough start for Susan and Alyssa. Rich himself didn't fare as well as expected. Normally, in situations where the first round ends, a player usually should have more than $5,000 in total by the end. By the time the interview break was finished, all of them went down more on th...

Re: Monday, July 10, 2017 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

I'm kind of wondering how come this isn't considered a "Kids Week" kind of FJ! This should have stayed on a Kids Week FJ! and should rather stick to some ToC-difficulty FJs on regular episodes. Why must we continue to use "Kids Week" as a pejorative? I wanna see Jeopardy! increase the difficulty fo...

Re: Friday, July 7, 2017 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

I kind of agree with most of these people on here, that Jon should have had a lock game, but MarkBarrett did have a point. Jon's box value wagering caught up to him and screwed himself completely. Had Jon went the full $1,000 in his first DD and maybe went for $2,000 on the second, then this situati...

Re: Friday, July 7, 2017 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

Three weeks and 15 games to go in the season, so still time to shake up the TOC list a little more this month. I think it's fine the way it is!  Well...MarkBarrett does have a point. It does concern your safety of whether or not you'll be in the ToC. You and Tim are the only 2 guys wit...

Jennings and Chu are both banned from supertournaments forever.
Cite? Or just stating what you think should happen?
You know, they should as well ban Brad Rutter as well. Let the other champs have a shot towards big money fame...

How does The Jeopardy! Fan get statistics on buzzer ring-ins?
I even have a hard time how the Jeopardy! producers, let alone Alex Trebek even figure out on the buzzer percentages of the players. If anyone has a clue on buzzing percentage, that would really be helpful.

A current look at our ToC standings. [POSSIBLE 7/6 SPOILER]

Looking ahead, seasons 32 and 33 has had some big moments, heading into the next ToC. There were some highs, and very little lows as we watched the episodes go by. We've never seen a more elaborate group of players that proved to be gutsy. It's amazing that one of the factors is that some of the pla...

Re: Thursday, July 6, 2017 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

With the way Jon plays, I doubt he would last as a ToC semifinalist based on his DD efficiency. -$4,300 on DDs?! It’s good to play it safe in some cases, but with the way the other ToC players have done, his chances could vary. I took the liberty of looking back at the current players that are vying...

Re: Monday, July 3, 2017 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

Wow...Jon completely went berserk on his bet after a poor haphazard bet from Friday. He didn't bet enough to cover from 3rd or 2nd when he became champ, and now he became a 2-time champ because of this?! It amazes me. I thought from watching those numbers, we were hoping for another 1-time champ, bu...

Re: Friday, June 30, 2017 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

As Leif Garrett said in World's Dumbest Criminals; "Stupid. Stupid. Stupid." It did seem that Allan had the right idea in terms of betting, but the current champ and the new champ had made poor bets. Clint made a poor bet from either way you saw it. Clint bets to cover the leader and still falls beh...

Re: Monday, June 26, 2017 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

To be honest, this game could have gone either way. But, supposedly, I would imagine "The Godfather" would have gave away an instaget, but no...a SOLO GET?! I, myself wasn't born in the 70s, so yeah...if anything, this pretty much would stump anybody that wasn't even born when The Godfather was rele...

Re: Friday, June 23, 2017 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

It's always hard when you have to refer to an FJ! clue dealing with an "object". Normally, with clues like this, you gotta think on books. Which would come to mind in a title dealing with objects that could possibly proceed glass? This kind of FJ! should be more towards "How many stupid guesses can ...

Re: Wednesday, June 21, 2017 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

This season's been quite an uphill-downhill moment. Four three-time champions after Alan Lin's run couldn't finish putting the needle in the coffin and get a possible potential ToC spot. Ragavan Ramsubramani, Jon Groubert, Joe Nguyen, Tucker Dunn, and now Peter Guekguezian. Three of them came close ...

Re: Wednesday, June 14, 2017 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

Well...it seemed nearly impossible for Tucker to win a 4th game with the way things turned out on this one. To win over $33,000 and beat Rob Liguori was never gonna happen. Unfortunately, that luck just went to Phil to do that. That $33,400 could have gotten Tucker right past Rob Liguori completely....

Re: Wednesday, May 31, 2017 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

Again, another poor oddball bet sends this to another 1-day champ. Kerry sort of had the right idea to add pressure on Lisette, and Joe was thinking correctly to cover Kerry. Lisette pretty much went 50/50 on her strategy and took the fail strategy. She backed out of $6,400 to take the loss. It was ...

Re: What is wrong with Ken Jennings?

He's probably violating one of the unwritten rules of Jeopardy with this. And what do you suppose that rule is? It's unwritten, we don't know for sure. Jeopardy has so many random rules, but ever since the "Only one winner" rule was implemented, it started to really change tie-game situations compl...
