Jeopardy!'s returning to GSN

If you're like me and canceled the Game Show Network because they stopped showing Jeopardy! reruns, good news: Starting this weekend, Jeopardy! will air on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 8 a.m. Central. I learned this from the blog Game Show Kingdom (http://gskingdom.blogspot.com/2011/08/gsn-schedu...

Re: Summer Hiatus Challenge Smack Talk

I hope this is the best place to post this. I tried to reply to cheezyguyty's post but my dumbphone ;) wouldn't let me do it. I was wondering if last year's results could be posted? (I'd like to compare my results to last year's, to former champs', etc.)

Re: New season tapings delayed

What about Mark McGrath, former host of Rock and Roll Jeopardy!? I've never seen the show and don't know if he's any good, but he might bring a hipness factor. He strikes me as a pretty cool dude.

Re: New season tapings delayed

And here comes the host of Jeopardy....BRAD RUTTER! Now that would be sweet, former Jeopardy champion hosting the show. Pipe dream I know, but why can't we dream? :p I think he's perfect for that, too. In fact I asked him at the unofficial Jeopardy! reunion (during the panel discussion) if he wants...

Re: You're welcome, Rex

This is a peeve of mine . I daresay this isn't the thread for this. It doesn't help, and might discourage, those of us who come here with an honest search for answers from good people who are eager to help, including Rex, who you cited. . . No worries, Jeanie! The J! Re: You're welcome, Rex

Did any of you former contestants try holding the buzzer behind your back when you were on the show? I practiced playing standing up, and this felt natural. But of course I didn't have a podium in front of me. Nobody does, podiums are under them, way to remember it is the root "pod-" as in "podiatr...

Re: What was your buzzing strategy?

Am I remembering correctly?: Didn't Ken and Brad look like they were just pressing once on the buzzer when they rang in? (not over and over) Brad did say at the unofficial Jeopardy! reunion that the lights often didn't come on before he successfully rang in. And speaking of video games, I've been st...

Re: Wednesday, July 20, 2011 Game Recap & Discussion (SPOILE

I've been meaning to ask this, speaking of Coryats: Is there an average score one should reach to be considered "ready" to appear on the show? I've heard one future contestant's opinion, and I'd like more. Thanks!

Re: Wednesday, July 20, 2011 Game Recap & Discussion (SPOILE

I will also add that my Coryat has been remarkably high (for me) and flat at ~k$35 for all four of Mark's episodes; it's fascinating that so many other people are seeing large variations in difficulty. It would be very interesting to do statistics on people's Coryats; based on recent observations, ...

Re: Tuesday, July 19, 2011 Game Recap & Discussion (SPOILERS

Tom definitely knew the strategy it would take to beat Mark, jumping around at times in search of the Daily Doubles, and betting nearly all of his money in the first round DD. His second DD wager was also very strategically sound, betting enough to put him $800 ahead of Mark with one clue remaining...
