I think the first UD set was 1989. Famously, card #1 in their first set was Ken Griffey Jr.'s rookie card.
True!

I have a sealed box of that set.

Re: Friday, December 13, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Topps baseball cards as a bottom row clue? Seemed to easy, but I didn't clam, and was rewarded. I was worried that the other two might be another sport, since I vaguely knew Topps made cards for other sports. Turns out the other two groups did/do, as well. NHO Bowman or Panini America, but apparent...

I know next to nothing about Ayn Rand. Tonight that bit my butt. Boo, hiss. And once again, congrats to the champ for another masterful performance. And congrats also to Kim. Starting in the hole -$1,400 after two clues, I wondered how tough a game she would have. And she truly made Jennifer work f...

Re: Thursday, December 12, 2019 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

It's unfortunate for Jennifer that she did not pack enough clothes for playing at a minimum 8 games. The $400 clue in Kiddie Lit threw me for a second: "The ___ Wizard of Oz" I got the word in time, but Alex saying, "The which Wizard of Oz" had me hearing "Witch" to puzzle me for a moment. Those on...

She certainly isn't flashy, but certainly is fast Which is why we left like 19 clues on the board Monday, right? I'm guessing you don't watch The Simpsons, or you'd be very aware of Harrison's term. https://youtu.be/r8N7BSsU5oo Well, that was only slightly less painful than getting a colonoscopy from Wolverine... i will say the simpsons do suck, but you don't have to be an ingrate to someone that is trying to...
