Re: Friday, November 25, 2016 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

And I'll have to bite on musicals. I do like some of them and enjoy theater - but I am more toward Category 13; I think Cabaret would be too dark and not one I'd really enjoy seeing. Sorry Elijah Bailey, but I can't agree that it's a "best" musical. I would nominate The Music Man - cool music and s...

Re: Friday, November 25, 2016 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

Among the extreme few to instaget FJ here...the Master of Ceremonies autobiography title immediately led me to the synonymous 'Emcee', and I knew that role won Joel Grey a Best Performance By A Featured (Supporting) Actor In A Musical Tony in 1967. Until tonight, I actually didn't know about Grey's ...

Re: Tuesday, October 11, 2016 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

Got "Shanghai" about 8 seconds into the music, which shocked me, as I'm typically horrendous at both geography and language alike. I got it within three seconds...already knew Shanghai when used as a word means to kidnap. The 'criminal overtones' sealed it for me, with 'world's busiest container po...

Not even "labyrinth" primed the pump. I got a little shaky when Alex mentioned the labyrinth, having forgot the detail about Daedalus having to escape from there (right after building it...Daedalus made the labyrinth so complex that he himself almost could not find his way out of the horrid place)....

Re: Friday, September 16, 2016 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

Stephen King was an instaget for me, I was very surprised it was a TS. Nailed Stephen King cold. Thee and me. And even if I wasn't such a fan of King's work, I still would have gotten it. It's always cool to nab a Final TS, but my jaw still dropped when tonight's Final TS became official. Also can'...

Re: Tuesday, July 26, 2016 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

I have to admit, what with Pranjal's DD hunting and his speed, I'm finding it difficult to keep score at home. I know it's good strategy and all, but as a home viewer, I prefer a more orderly game. Amen. I also am not all that fond of Pranjal's interrupting Alex like he did upon finding the Daily D...

Re: Friday, March 18, 2016 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

...but I got Poirot very quickly - I think it's fairly well-know that Christie got a bit tired of him along the way. At least, I was sure I'd heard it before. Poirot was a near-instaget here as well, and because of the knowledge of Christie being bored with writing him over time. As a matter of fac...

Re: Tuesday, December 29, 2015 Game Recap & Discussion [SPOILERS]

Well, I can't believe that this Final, of all things, is what is bringing me out of the lurking woodwork (three year lurker and lifelong J! and classic/semi-classic game show nerdette). But how you go, and at the risk of being off to an absolutely terrific start at winning friends here, I honestly d...
