Re: The Chase

I've watched plenty of episodes of both the UK and Australian versions of The Chase, and yeah, I prefer them both to the US version, which I've only seen a few of. The pacing of the US version seemed to drag on a lot more and I didn't like how Mark (The Beast) was the only chaser. Both the UK and A...

Both of these things happen on the UK version.

They should have remained there.

Re: The Chase

I think you need to do a recount of how many questions per episode we saw in 500 Questions vs the Chase if you're going to mention pacing. The Chase also had way more questions per episode than most prime time games these days. Eta: if you think Jeopardy is the gold standard of pacing, keep in mind...

Re: The Chase

You can do a search on this board of "chase beast" to find several previous threads about the show. Brooke Burns was a good host. Brooke Burke on The Celebrity Apprentice is a different story. GSN quickly made a decision for a second season of Divided , so who knows what goes on in their decision m...

Yes. Tramp as a verb means to walk loudly.

According to "The Other Wiki", Beatrix Potter died three days before Christmas 1943. She was 77.

Here's my idea, though I don't know what direction J! would take with them:

GOLDEN ROAD

FLIP FLOP

CLIFF HANGERS

ONE AWAY

"NOW" or "THEN"

and 5 other games played on THE PRICE IS RIGHT

Here's what I knew: The Tibetan paradise in Lost Horizon is called Shangri-La. Camp David is named after Eisenhower's son. Here's what I didn't know (or didn't remember): Camp David wasn't established as a presidential retreat by Ike but by FDR who named it Shangri-La. Camp David is in Maryland. Ca...

I thought that Harry Truman was a tailor, so I said 1948. People haven't heard of the phrase "shalom aleichem"? My great-great-great uncle used that as his pen name when he wrote a bunch of short stories about some dairy farmer you may have heard of named Tevye, which were adapted into a play and m...

No guess on FJ. Incidentally, since someone asked, Judge Von Erik (not Erich) is another reference to Play the Percentages , an underrated short-runner from the spring of 1980. What triggers the PtP references is the weekly polls on what % got FJ right. On PtP , the point values per Q were determine...

Judge Von Erich says he would not be surprised if this scores a 50 on the board once the regulars get to it.
