Re: Online Test Discussion (Central), January 18, 2012

Tonight's looked harder. I got 25, take away at least 3 for nerves. Pop culture, for the most part, was alright. All my usual glaring problems with composers, geography, the elements, etc. I did get the Falklands, thanks to the Simpsons.
I wasn't able to guess anything, unlike last night.

I've heard the myth, obviously not in full detail. I've never come across the name Ikaria before. I was stuck on looking for a real life person.

Re: Online Test Discussion (Eastern), January 17, 2012

I did feel as if this test was easier than last year, my first one. Unfortunately I got pretty much the same score. I am on the right track, as a few of the things I looked up ended up being on the test. Not that I remembered some of them. I came across Schubert, but mixed it up with someone else. I...

I put Penn and Teller instead of S+R! Arrrgh Don't let the crowd steer you wrong, you are actually correct. ETA: Looks like the rest of the crowd chimed in ahead of me. I couldn't think of their names either. I really didn't think it was S & R. I think my mind went to S & R, but thinking it couldn'...

Re: Online Test Discussion (Eastern), January 17, 2012

I was happy with the first few questions. I think I knew almost all but 5 or 6. Unfortunately I had a few that I knew, but couldn't access. The magicians, if it is indeed Seigfried and Roy, and Rear Window. For those I had pretty much the whole history of the 2 and the plot of the movie, but not the...

Re: Friday, January 13, 2012 Game Recap & Discussion (SPOILERS)

I had the lobster= Mass.=JFK and LBJ. Then remembered, lobster is more = Maine. I'm not good about where Presidents come from, so Maine wasn't ringing any bells. So I figured Mass. was close enough, the whole New England thing and all. I think, in general, when it comes to these kind of presidential...

Re: Tuesday, December 20, 2011 Game Recap & Discussion (SPOILERS)

In school I always heard it as " Pull out a full scrap piece of paper." Totally confused when I saw it written down as foolscap. I didn't care enough to find out what the deal was.
