Re: Anyone else seeing this error?

Yeah, there are problems with editing posts at the moment. For what it's worth, there's another squirrely issue I'm seeing too - no matter how many times I read it or mark it read, the January 28th online test thread (all six pages of it now) show unread. Nothing I can do will mark that thread read...

Re: Wednesday, January 29, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Sarah made a wager that would win the game while guaranteeing second. She wins more by wagering everything in the RW scenario but forfeits $1k on a wrong response. I've been waiting a long time to say this... I may be in the minority in this crowd, but if I have the opportunity to maximize winnings...

Re: Wednesday, January 29, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

Didn't anybody notice how mad Sarah looked for the last part of the double jeopardy round? She kept violently tossing her hair whenever she missed a buzz. On the confetti clue, she was really seriously working that buzzer with her right hand. And then when the round ended she went overboard straigh...

Not quite as easy as the first one, but still pretty easy.

I blanked on the stupid soccer star, couldn't think of the name until about three questions later.

Based on his success, most of the country has NHO Robert Francis "Beto" O'Rourke.

Re: Online Test Recap & Discussion (Central), January 29, 2020

Anyone from last year remember how soon they send out audition emails? I would imagine it's a month or so before the audition in the selected city to give advance notice while still avoiding a ton of cancellations. Last year I took the test in April. I got an invite in May to a June audition in DC....

Martian, yes. Overwager? Nope. In fact there was still room for more with just as much safety.

Re: Online Test Recap & Discussion (Central), January 29, 2020

Without question for one person's opinion is this test was more difficult than the one last night. For me, without a doubt. Only 38/50 tonight after what I considered pretty easy last night. I absolutely despise superhero comics and movies, but I suppose at some point I will have to reluctantly stu...

48! I'm still in the pool until March so I took it off sherder's video. Were you at the September 2018 audition in Philadelphia? Because March is when my dip in the pool ends too. Also took today's off of the video but only managed 45/50. Totally blanked on a couple I kicked myself for just afterwa...

Did they credit back for “beep me”?

Third correct answer:email me? Not as good as page/beep but given the wording of the clue......

How do some of things make it through QC?
I don't think "EMAIL ME" would pass the "now-outmoded" portion of the clue like PAGE and FAX do.

I guess I never new this thread was here. Rob from Maryland. Been lurking on the forum for some time and have recently taken a little more active role. My J! history goes way back to the in-person test at Resorts in Atlantic CIty, NJ (in the mid-90's, back when it was still "Merv Griffin's Resorts")...

Re: Online Test Recap & Discussion (Eastern), January 28, 2020

Stupid question, and I'm 99% sure the answer is "nobody knows for sure", but...what are the criteria for getting the audition email? Is it simply a pass/fail test (ie if the cutoff is 35, then scoring 36 is as good as scoring 47), or do they have a "weighted lottery" where you're more likely to be ...

Re: 2020 Online Test announced - Jan 28, 29, 30

Good luck to everyone this go-round. I'm swimming in the pool so must sit this one out. Looks and sounds like there's no option to register to take it just for fun, and because I auditioned in Vegas last August, taking the test this time might... put my status at risk? Guess I'll have to wait for t...

Re: 2020 Online Test announced - Jan 28, 29, 30

Well why not, I guess? Just registered. We'll see what happens. If I understand the rules, we can't take the online test for real until after the 18 months is up. Taking it early could result in disqualification. "If you have never been a Jeopardy! contestant and have not participated in a Jeopardy...

Re: Thursday, January 23, 2020 Game Recap and Discussion (SPOILERS)

I expected a reversal on the Lisbeth Salander clue. Pretty sure I heard John say Lizabeth rather than Lisbeth. FJ seemed teen tournament level. It also sounded a bit off to me. Solid performance by the champ and easy FJ. To me, the boards tonight seemed easy, as evidenced by the fact that I was 5/5...

NHO "A-line" skirt.

What was the TOM for Kennedy Airport in the top box? I didn't see anything pointing to any airport whatsoever.
I guess YEKIOYD, but the TWA terminal (now hotel) at JFK is/was pretty iconic. Kind of like the Theme building at LAX.
