Couldn't pull DAESH for the life of me, so went for a BWA of ABFAB.
I went with SANDY (not as a BWA, though).

Re: Learned League 88 - Feb/Mar '21

Got transferred into the new Foundry league and man, is that a different beast than Taiga. B Taiga currently has 1 person over 100 TCA and maybe 2 or 3 more who could hit that mark. B Foundry has 8 already over 100 and 4 more who will likely make it. Needless to say, it's likely I'm headed to C Foun...

Never been to an IKEA store and never had a desire to do so.
Don't like Swedish meatballs? The stores can be fun even if you're not planning to buy any of the assemble-it-yourself furniture.
I'd have to drive 80 miles to get to one, so I too shall pass.

Got FJ! on an educated guess, but this MBA has never heard of the "effect" before.
I've only got a BSBA, but yeah, I've never heard of it either. Like most others, I never would have guessed that IKEA is 70-ish years old.

I’d put “The Giants win the pennant” ahead of Most’s call.
For me, yours, "Do you believe in miracles?" and possibly "Down goes Frazier!" are ahead, but they're all really close.

Re: Learned League 88 - Feb/Mar '21

For the hoops I was nearly certain of the team being the Celtics and pretty sure Larry Bird was one of the guys. I was even more confident that John Havlicek was one and got two points for my Havilcek being accepted. I put Havlicek. I was just slightly more confident with him than Bird. I was the o...

I don’t think it’s a bad question, but it is a bad Final Jeopardy question. There is no perfect way to figure it out other than just knowing it, but if you recall that the Berlin games were in 1936 and WW2 canceled the 1940 and 1944 games, it gives you a fewer options to work with. Which is how I l...

Well hes doing better than i thought - he is reading the clues fairly quickly I'd say the same. Now knowing the correct response, it makes complete sense, but that was never a connection I was going to make. I've never read any of Shakespeare's historicals, so I'm not familiar with the opening lines.

Re: Jeopardy! Interim Host Thread

I would like to see Linda Ellerbee do it. Was she ever on Celebrity Jeopardy? She was not. Next scheduled guest host will be Bill Whitaker, May 3-14. https://www.jeopardy.com/jbuzz/news-events/jeopardy-guest-host-schedule We know Mayim Bialik has already taped, too, so she's probably up after Bill?...

Took a few seconds to work out the parties, but I got Bull Moose and Socialist.
