Re: TD 160--The Great State of Connecticut

Great TD! After missing the one for my current residence, I'm surely not going to do so for my home state too. One question though: on question number two, does the bonus answer have to be for the same school as our response? For example, can I name British Columbia State as a school with a bulldog ...

Re: Think Different #157: Double Vision

Well it worked this morning, I guess we don't have any answers in common anymore.

Re: Think Different #157: Double Vision

For some reason I get an internal server error anytime I try to send or save the PM with my answers. Anybody else having this problem?

Re: Think Different #153: "25"

Argh, "The Chanakuah Song" went unused? I changed from that to the near sheep of "Santa Baby" at the last second because I was sure that other players would notice that the question asked for "holiday songs" rather than "Christmas songs," thereby implying that...

Re: TD Olympics Q8

Bob Richards (aka the “Vaulting Vicar” or “Pole Vaulting Parson”) was the first athlete shown on the front of the box (formerly they had been shown on the back or side of the box), which is why I assume three people picked him. I had never heard of him before, but he was mentioned in a Slate articl...

Re: Think Different #151: Fun & Games

I'll take a top-half finish and an early lead (even if I did drop the first question) for my first foray into TD. Thanks for a great game Jeff (and for your generous scoring on Super Mario World 64, which, as you correctly guessed, was not the game I was going for)! I'll be back for the next one.

I also avoided the lead pipe because it seems like the most obscure weapon, and therefore that everyone would pick it, which obviously means that nobody did. I'm thinking that the rope being the one non-metallic weapon must have subconsciously steered people toward it (including me).

Re: Audition Emails

So disappointed. I passed the test with a 41 but it looks like I won't be getting an in person audition this year. 3 years running with a passing score and no audition :( My city is DC. Based on my experience, if you could manage it maybe you should try a different city next year. This is the first...

Re: Audition Emails

Thought I'd pass the info along that on Thursday I got an email invite to a Philadelphia audition on 3/27. Not sure, but I think I scored 35 on the central test. I didn't think that was good enough to make it, so the email was a welcome surprise. I also received an invite to Philadelphia on the 27t...
