Thank you. We know who Gwyneth Paltrow was rooting for tonight.teapot37 wrote:Clement hasn't been in the top 1000 boy names since 1969. 100 years ago it was in the top 300.
Blythe is even less popular, not hitting the top 1000 any time in the last 100 years. At least according to the SSA.

Josiah played a pretty nice game, seems like a good kid (designing rollercoasters must be fun ).
He also managed to get FJ!, which was a slightly tough Kids Week clue. But I agree, it would have been tougher if the clue was the other way around, asking for NM and MN. I probably wouldn't have gotten it that way. This way, since AL is close to the top, you can go alphabetically and probably hit it before time's up. That's how I got it about 15 seconds in and managed to write it down.

Wow, am I the only one who actually got this before Alex was even done reading the clue? Seems most of you had to really think about it.
Also, the only Blythe I know is from Littlest Pet Shop. Damn it, Hasbro, will you stop making girly cartoons that are legitimately good?!

Also bit on Cartier / Mississippi. Knew it was wrong instant I said it, too.

The best thing that Neil Armstrong ever did, was to let us all imagine we were him.

Yes, the bounce caught me by surprise.Golf wrote:Gotta root for any preteen that does the Rubin Bounce!
The late clue in DJ regarding a US president must have lived in the US for at least 14 years holds a special place in my heart.
FJ was a good solve for anybody, let alone a kid. Awesome.
On that DJ clue, I'd have been tempted to look Alex straight in the eye and say "What is Vice President?" today. At 12 yo, IDK. The clue got me to wondering which Presidents had lived outside the country before becoming President. Excluding military assignments, I got up to nine.
Close to an Instaget FJ! here. I started with the A's. Mrs OS came up with Alaska and Louisiana, but quickly corrected herself.

On FJ I figured that it being kids week that you should just start at the top of the alphabet, no way were they going to expect the kids to go through every state in the thirty seconds.
