Regarding the lack of an NYC option on the registration page, didn't they not have a D.C. option on the registration page for the online test this year? I'm assuming that they wound up having one.

I think that photo was staged or was taken during a practice game in which that particular game board was recycled.

That would certainly explain why it doesn't look like a 12-year-old boy.

When I first saw the photo, I thought it was ...

This may not be the case now since that disclaimer did not come up when I just registered. I hope they don't kick me out of the pool for taking the test (my last audition was in March).
I was trying to figure out the "for fun" bit too.
Did you notice how far away from Texas they are this year?
I did notice that - went with DC because my brother lives in the area, but come on, not even KC or New Orleans this year?

It's amazing how important this decision seems, as my cursor hovers over the list of audition cities. I live in DC but will graduate in May and have been actively applying for jobs in several different auditions cities. Who knows where I'll be, come audition time?

I agree, given it looks like he's wearing the same shirt in this photo.

I am pretty sure (but with no first-hand knowledge) that, should you get an audition invitation to a city that is no longer very convenient, the contestant coordinators will accommodate your needs.

Plus, if there were a photographer taking a picture from that angle during an actual game, she would be visible to the audience. This is probably from a practice round in which they loaded an old game for contestants to get used to the buzzer.

I ran around the house screaming the quote from Billy Madison when he opens the mailbox.

First Time test-taker, but looking forward to it. Signed up for Day 2 at 8PM.

Is there a good way to search for old contestant tests? The search function won't let me search for "contestant" or "test". Maybe that would be a good idea for a sticky. That and links to tryout and test advice ("Don't press enter", for example.)

There are plenty of videos on youtube of varying quality.
What’s Montague? It is nor hand, nor foot,
Nor arm, nor face, nor any other part
Belonging to a man. O, be some other name!
What’s in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other word would smell as sweet.

Both times I auditioned, I had to change my date and they were very nice about that. (The first time, I went into it assuming I would have to decline the offer of an audition altogether because surely the Great Jeopardy! Machine would not make a change for little ol' me.) I imagine it would be a similar situation if you were changing locations.

I should be able to create something like that. It might be a couple of days before I get to it.

(Hat tip to alietr for the inspiration. Oh how I miss the deleted Official Board content. Especially the year the College Test was "50 categories for 50 states". That one was weird.)

I keep my scoresheets for future reference to compare scores. For me searching the tests was easy as I used unusual answers. Plus I have the dates on each page. Hope you didn't work too hard. I think you have all the tests from this board. Nice work and thanks.

My notes have it as a make-up test, so I guess that was the one after technical problems for many users?
