Re: Timing of Audition Invite Emails
The number has dropped.
They used to say 300,000 sign up, 100,000 take it.
They still see the same number of people though, and used to say they didn't know what happened to the other 200,000 people.
At least according to previous accounts, but the 75,000 number has been consistent of late.

Re: Timing of Audition Invite Emails
Saw Culver City on my phone today and thought I was getting THE call (even though I'm not in the pool right now) - turns out I was just getting A call telling me that Austin auditions have been postponed due to Hurricane Harvey. Was all excited for about a second there.

I guess that's the end of my Jeopardy audition multi-year road trip.

Nothing from TO. Googling Toronto +Jeopardy +audition finds nothing recent. I think we're still clear.

Im sure it will be here if anyone hears.
They bypassed North Carolina last year, I'm hoping they go this time.

Re: Timing of Audition Invite Emails
I'm worried about Vancouver, not that I won't hear from them but that I will! Right now, my finances are tight, and even if I do get a job tomorrow, no guarantees I'll have time off for an audition (but, at the last interview I had when they asked if I have any vacation time coming up, I mentioned the J! test, leading to a nice side conversation about J! (my interviewer is a regular viewer as well)). Plus, I doubt that they want to go to Vancouver during a Canadian winter (I've already noticed the leaves changing colours and falling, so it's sooner than you think) - granted a Vancouver winter is much nicer than ones in Toronto, Halifax, or, God help you, Winnipeg, but for people from California, it might still be not something they'd want.

They haven't held a teen test in almost 2 years, hopefully this is my shot.

I received an invite for Omaha, but have a trial that can't be moved. They were very nice about it and told me I could come to Tampa when it is scheduled.

Interesting. I don't remember Tampa being on the list this time around, was it?Creed Bratton wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2017 11:35 am I received an invite for Omaha, but have a trial that can't be moved. They were very nice about it and told me I could come to Tampa when it is scheduled.

Probably depends on whether or not you're found guilty, no?Creed Bratton wrote: ↑Mon Sep 04, 2017 11:35 am I received an invite for Omaha, but have a trial that can't be moved. They were very nice about it and told me I could come to Tampa when it is scheduled.

Re: Timing of Audition Invite Emails
I haven't received an audition email, but I have just received this:
"Thanks for taking our Jeopardy! Online Test earlier this year. I want to let you know that just because you may not have heard from us, you shouldn't lose faith. Although we have conducted follow-up auditions in several cities, we still have many more to do in the next few months. So, keep a good thought AND remember; there is a random selection process for those in-person tryouts. Even if you do not hear from us it doesn't necessarily mean that you did not do well, only that you weren't selected.
In the meantime, I want to encourage you to watch our new season of shows that begins September 11.
Thanks again,

I really appreciate them sending this out, but this raises even more questions. Does this mean that I passed the test and just wasn't randomly selected for an audition? Is this just a generic Dear John letter? What are the deeper implications if they exist?
