Timing of Audition Invite Emails

I don't remember the exact timeline, but I think that it was something like:

Took the online test in January 2008
Received the invite to audition in early August 2008 (there were auditions on multiple days in my audition city that year, and I remember that some people received their invites before I did. I don't recall how long before but it could have been anywhere from a few days to a few weeks)
Auditioned in early September 2008

This is the most depressing thread on here. It seems like everyone that gets a call up to the show does so within a month or two of the audition.
I auditioned in 2013, so I guess now is as good a time as any to give up hope

Well.

January 2007: Test (I took Wednesday's and my dad took Thursday's)
July 18: E-mail
August 8: Audition

[Late October (I think): Dad's call
(He was supposed to be an alternate that December, but the taping was canceled due to Alex's heart attack the day before. They said they'd get back to him in the new year.)
January 2008: Dad's re-call
February 6 (or whenever Ash Wednesday was): Dad was alternate (shows aired April 14-18)
Late February or early March: Dad's re-re-call
March 25: Dad's taping
June 30 and July 1: Dad's shows air]

January 2009: Test (I took Tuesday's, got 34 right)
February 23: My call (we didn't actually talk until the 26th, on which day we arranged that I'd be an alternate and then play a week later) (note that this is more than 18 months after my audition)
March 25: Alternate (shows aired July 6-10)
March 30: Taping
Late June or early July: Re-call
July 20-24: Shows air
July 28: Second taping, lose immediately
September 14: Show airs
February 23, 2010: Re-re-call (since this was a Tuesday, it might be that I got called a day earlier and the 23rd was actually when we spoke)
March 23-24: ToC tapes
May 10-21: ToC airs

After the 2007 online test, I auditioned in Chicago in early August.

After the 2009 online test, I auditioned in Kansas City in late June.

After the 2012 online test, I auditioned in Chicago on May 19, got "the call" on October 4 (though I didn't actually speak to Robert until October 8), taped on October 29 (unusual Monday-Tuesday taping cycle), show was broadcast March 5, 2013.

Took the test every year since I was a teenager. Had live audition in the 90's for teen tournament. Also had a live audition in 2006 for the College Tournament, but this year was my first time having a live audition for the adult version.

- Family emergency on morning of audition, quickly left message on J! call-in line and sent email to contestant box before I ran out the door. Had a very pleasant email exchange with Corina afterwards with the assurance that I didn't blow my opportunity. (Moral: the J! staff is very willing to work with you, unlike many other game shows. Many people ask about this on the forum. Also, it's almost nearly the same staff today as it was in 2007.)

- Second invitation to audition: February 15, 2008 for audition on March 14, 2008
- Called to be show alternate for July 24, 2008 taping; didn't get on
- Called to be on show, taping ~September 15, 2008
- Broadcast: October 27, 2008
- Check rec'd: End of February, 2009, at just about the 120 days that J! said it might take

Received audition invite October 2013 for Teen Tournament.
Went to Audition November 21, 2013.
Finally got the Call February 4, 2014!

I also attended the Brain Bus audition in Asheville. Did you pass the screening quiz and advance to take the big quiz the second day?

Audition: June 5th, 2012, NYC

Taping: November 14th, 2012, then November 27th, 2012

Airdates: March 28th, 2013-April 4th, 2013

Shanna, I wonder if our NYC auditions crossed paths; mine was on the afternoon of May 24 (NYU Law graduates blocking the sidewalk). Might've noticed you earlier if Channel 6 did any promotion of local folks appearing!
