It never gets old watching a shuttle launch.

Indeed not. I feel very fortunate to have watched the penultimate Space Shuttle launch live from Canaveral Nat'l Seashore with our then-4-year old and my now-deceased sister-in-law. Sitting in beach chairs watching the white nail gently soar into the clouds amid the deafening roar of the rocket is something I'll never forget. I'm still stunned that my only singleton was on this question. Go figger.

Thanks for doing this! If I remember correctly, I didn't have a single incorrect answer, which is what really cost me in the Identifications TD. However, my answers were overall too sheepish in this one. I still had fun, though.

Way too many possibilities for arguments on the Presidents -- was sorely tempted to say Iowa for Hoover, but thought he might be a sheep, instead of wrong. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Nixon was the only native Californian -- Reagan certainly made much of his boyhood in Dixon, IL. Taylor seemed like a safe bet, as possibly the last major Louisiana political figure who neither corrupt (Longs and Edwards), stupid (Blanco the most recent), or both (Jindal).

W.'s true home was quite a source of invective during his administration -- I don't blame Peggles at all for saying Connecticut, where he was born. (Out of curiosity, how would you have listed Daddy Bush? Texas, Connecticut, or Maine, as Kennebunkport was where he always seemed to be? He claimed Texas, but never maintained a residence there once he left Congress, save for a suite at the Houstonian.)

This would have been my first choice to skip, because of all that sort of thing, but the small pool of sports answers made me leery of any response in that pool. A lot of fun to play this, though! And I see Orlando still has its call signal from when I was a kid there -- MCO, from the McCoy Naval Air Station that was the original basis for the airport.

As my mother in Gainesville would say, after this season, it's no surprise the Gators and TD don't mix!
