I thought about citing "japan," but decided my joke would be best served with as common an "also a country name" as I could think of.

How about a different game? I'll give the category and correct response. You write the clue.

How about naming the six NL teams at the start of the 2014 season with managers having alliterative first & last names? J! would probably only ask for one. Two at the most. 30 seconds. Go!

FIVE-LETTER WORDS
These two words, ending in the same three letters, each refer to fractions of a different unit with the same name.
(I can't figure out a way to make the wording less opaque.)
THE BEATLES
One of two non-Beatles to appear on the cover of "Sgt. Pepper's" and be named in Beatles lyrics; one is in "I Am the Walrus" and the other is in "Yer Blues."

I think that must be the intended response. How about: "These two words, ending in the same three letters, each refer to fractions of two larger units that share a name."?nserven wrote:seaborgium wrote:FIVE-LETTER WORDS

Re: Final Jeopardy! Clues
Reading this week's issue of Time I saw an interesting item that could be a clue, not that I know how to word it properly.
TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
Opening in 2014 the High Roller, found on this 4.2-mile stretch of land in Clark County, is the worlds's highest observation wheel; that is until the New York Wheel and Dubai Eye open in 2016

Las Vegas Strip - I did not know if I clue directly for Las Vegas since the attraction seems to be in Paradise, Nevada. I thought about cluing for High Roller asking for the term for a rich gambler with money to burn.

Isn't Elmore James mentioned in "For You Blue", not "Yer Blues"? Is it Dylan ("Dylan's Mr. Jones") you're looking for?
