JBoard Demographic Survey

Post by alietr »

I have become curious about how old you JBoarders are. I think it was from watching the commercials during the show. Anyway, if you feel like it, please tell us your age. I will remind you that poll results are public, so do not respond if you do not want your age known. Next, I ask about income (just kidding!).

I can already tell that I imagined some people completely differently.

I am 28, and grew up on the Jeopardy NES video game.

We should show these poll results to the Jeopardy producers and make a case for bringing back the Seniors Tournament.

The only real "surprise" for me (so far) is bomtr. I would have guessed an age bracket lower.

This could leave some Canadian boardies in limbo.

There's been a few surprises for me, so far. Including that Andy put 51 at the low end of a group instead of at the high end.

I still assert, though, that the age of the average J! viewer (read: the bulk of the viewing audience and the target demographic) is older than the age of boardies. And contestants are much more likely to come from the "boardie" pool than the "average viewer" pool.

Couple of surprises for me.

zacharov I had a bit older, jeff I had a bit younger, and opus a bit older. The rest I just didn't really put images in my head about.
