I mentioned mine in my other post in this thread, but I'm curious what others' first memory of Jeopardy is. Soon enough, we'll have a user whose first memory is Ken Jennings...
There's lots of us who just started watching in 2004, regardless of our ages! I know I watched Jeopardy! before then, but it wasn't regular (heck, it wasn't every day until 2009, when I first took the contestant test and joined the board), so I can't remember any episodes really before Jennings.

What about our Canadian JBoarders who are between the ages of 19-21? The legal drinking age in Canada is 19. :?

The ""Rest of Canada", anyway.

It's 18 in three provinces (Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec).

So for a bunch of provinces in a row from west to east, it alternates between the two numbers.

BC: 19
AB: 18
SK: 19
MB: 18
ON: 19
QC: 18
NS: 19

Then the pattern breaks down and it's 19 in all the Atlantic provinces.

Pretty cool pattern. Too bad QC and NS don't abut.

So far my biggest surprise is that 107 Boardies have been willing to answer.

This is a remarkably uniform distribution between 21-60. I wonder what the results would be if you used narrower age bands?

This made me laugh so hard I fell on the floor. I still have my ass, though; it didn't fall off.

Been there; done that. Nothing wrong with 30. 40 & 50 were traumatic for me, but not likely for the same reason(s) as most.

I was 30 when my son was born, though I did not know it at the time since we adopted him 19 months later.

When I was 40 I got cancer.

Waiting to see what 50 brings.

Concentration was the first game show I watched, with Hugh Downs. I could follow it but I'm sure I didn't know how to read yet.

I guess I'm officially in the "old farts" group.

My first Jeopardy! experience dates back to elementary school. The school day was divided into two sessions, and we came home for lunch between them. Jeopardy! (with Art Fleming) aired at noon. I watched every day with my mom, who loved the show. My only regret about my appearance on the show was that my mom was not alive to see it.

I have the exact same story, except it was Junior High School and just for lunch.
