Anybody know all 5? gamawire and MarkBarrett are also still eligible for extra points off if either can name all 5. Even if you haven't entered yet, you're eligible for the bonus if you plan to enter.

Well, the only other title of a Hepburn/Tracy film I can think of is
Spoiler
Woman of the Year
so I'll try that.

I forgot to proclaim this previously, and just now also added it to the quiz intro:

A special thanks to gamawire for being my second set of eyes on this TD, helping me to weed out mistakes and ambiguities!

We've hit the mid-week lull, so it''s probably a good time to submit a recap.

26 entries so far, about half of an expected final tally of 50 +/-, and it's shaping up to be a perfectly normal TD:
- some surprising mega-sheep.
- a bunch of obvious answers that have gone unused or are hanging on as singletons.
- but mostly they still follow patterns somewhere in the middle.
But of course you don't know at this point which fit into which category, part of what makes TDs fascinating (and often infuriating.)

How should you use the drop and the wild card? Should you go for bonuses whenever possible with more well-known answers or forego a bonus when I'm sure of an obscure singleton, but not the corresponding bonus answer? Are there times to take an incorrect strategically?

I love watching the answer sheets come in and the thinking behind them. Love the comments too.

Keep those cards and letters and PMs coming. :)

It was posted by a friend from outside the board who didn't know the deal about needing 3 posts to be able to PM. I've asked her to delete the post.

OK, 2 days and a handful of hours to go. (Deadline is 3pm Pacific on Monday, 3/31.)

Here's another bonus opportunity. Pictured below are scenes from 5 of the all-time greats from the silent era. (There's no overlap with any question on the quiz.)

In a SPOILER PLEASE, the first to name:
- 3 of the films gets a 1 point bonus
- 4 of the films gets a 2 point bonus
- all 5 of the films gets a 3 point bonus
If you plan to enter, but haven't done so yet, you're still eligible to pick up bonus points. Game rules = no research.

3 correct for a 1 point bonus!

For teapot:
Spoiler
Joan of Arc is not close enough for a title. Try again, you're on the right track.

2 point bonus for 4 correct has been claimed! Anybody for all 5?
Spoiler
The Passion of Joan of Arc. After I posted, I started to watch it on Hulu. Not just a silent film, but TOTALLY SILENT. Weird. Do you have any idea on the fifth picture?
