COYOTES
2: This sense functions in coyotes at up to 80 kiloHertz, 20 kiloHertz better than most dogs.
4: In coyotes, these can be yellow or green, and generally do not open until ten days after birth.
6: The species name for coyotes, canis latrans, does not refer to “howling” but this other sound many dogs make.
8: Like fictional vampires, coyotes are crepuscular, meaning they are active at this time of day when the sun is below the horizon but its rays refract in the atmosphere.
10: Aside from humans, the predator most dangerous to coyotes is the gray variety of this fellow canine.
VEEP! VEEP!
3: The Vice Presidency was vacant from November of 1899 until March of 1905 except for the six months during which he filled the office.
6: Until this amendment was enacted, there was no explicit Constitutional provision for replacing a Vice President.
9: He served less than four years as Vice President, but did not die in office, resign, or succeed to the Presidency.
