SPORTS CENTERS

2: In Edmonton, this center was paired with Esa Tikkanen and Jari Kurri, then after being traded to Los Angeles played on a line with Tomas Sandstrom and Tony Granato.

4: This six-time NBA champion center and all-time scoring leader has also written seven books, including “Black Profiles in Courage: A Legacy of African-American Achievement.”

6: Mike Webster, center for this team, was presented at his 1997 Pro Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony by quarterback Terry Bradshaw.

8: In the early 1990's, this prolific goal scorer won four national championships and a World Cup playing center forward for the University of North Carolina and the U. S. Women's National Team.

10: In addition to finishing fifth in Heisman Trophy balloting, his senior year at Syracuse this future NFL Hall of Fame running back averaged 4.3 goals per game as a center midfielder for the lacrosse team.

ENGLISH WOMEN NOVELISTS

3: The best-selling female English author of all time and writer of the longest-running play ever, her best-known recurring characters are detectives.

6: Catherine, a character in this author's novel “Northanger Abbey,” once stayed up all night reading Ann Radcliffe's “The Mysteries of Udolfo.”

9: The 1941 Oscar for Best Picture went to an adaptation of her novel Rebecca directed by Alfred Hitchcock.

12: This author of “A Vindication of the Rights of Woman” and the daughter named for her were both novelists.

15: Her novel “Middlemarch” tells the story of Dorothea Brooke and the consequences of her marriage to Edward Casaubon.
