Philip Bump of The Washington Post has an interesting Jeopardy article. His search box certainly comes up with some interesting results.

Oh, Philip Bump (and/or a beleaguered copy editor)! The embedded video is the first episode, not (one of) the pilot(s).

A friend of mine in Austin sent me this link to a Texas Monthly article about that city's bar trivia scene, which features some serious J! talent (J-Archive rates a couple of mentions as well):

I thought that was a reference to how Austin has been murdering his opponents lately. *rimshot*

I'm mildly surprised we haven't heard even a peep in the media about Austin yet.

Why would the media cover a four-day champ?

He's a bit different from most contestants which does seem to garner more attention for the show. I was away last week so I binge watched the show this afternoon. It's a lot easier to watch just once a day.

Is a local news story about the Omaha auditions worthy of this thread?

I came across this article, which has some interesting details about the show:

Best Job Trivia Loving English Major

“With a good clue you don’t want to stump everyone in the room,” she says. “What’s the fun in that?” Where was she when they came up with Liederkranz?!?
