It would be really nice if Netflix would release all of the J! Teen & College Tournaments:

I kind of hope when I check in on posts in this thread to find something substantial or useful, you know.

I stumbled onto to this comment in another thread. Trying to figure out if it's appropriate here. :P

I would not consider the comment appropriate.

I would consider it inappropriate (or unnecessary at best) to refer to "all of the" tournaments and then clarify by including a list of all of them.

Maggie has retired
I'd rather cuddle then have sex. If you're into grammar, you'll understand.

The only actual mention of Maggie's retirement I can find in the media -- the supposed subject of this thread being mentions of J! in the media -- is an article in The Sun. Warning: You can tell an article about J! is badly researched if it refers to the show as an "ABC quiz show." (No, the fact that special episodes ran on ABC in January doesn't make it an "ABC quiz show.")

Even the headline is wrong: to call Maggie or anyone else in the contestant department Alex's right-hand anything is something of a mischaracterization. The contestant coordination is intentionally insulated from the rest of the production to avoid any appearance of impropriety. Maggie wasn't there to serve Alex anything but good contestants to play his game.

If someone can confirm this, I might be optimistic enough again to try to get on the show.

Perhaps that is why she is on Facebook now. Time to take the test again (can people that took the test in January take the test now on the rolling basis?)
I used to be AWSOP but wanted to be more theatrical.

Yes, but you have until tomorrow night to do so.

J! often makes the TV Guide one way or another. The May 11-24 issue had a tiny promo for Friday the 15th:

As Dwight Schrute would say, FALSE.

Ken game 75 was aired in 2009 among the 7 weeks of reruns that followed Season 25: it aired on September 10th, the Thursday preceding the premiere of Season 26. (Other shows aired that week were #1 from 1984, Eddie Timanus game 5 (#3482), Ken's final win (#4656), and the last game of the UToC (#4783).

Ken's losing game also reran several times--I think three, but my records are who-knows-where--on GSN.

Does this mean Ken's loss did air on GSN? I think I remember reading somewhere that GSN reran the entire Ultimate Tournament of Champions. GSN did air Season 20 according to the Jeopardy! History Wiki's page for Game Show Network.

Yes, Ken's loss aired on GSN. The podium pictures found here are from GSN reruns. I remember photoshopping out the GSN bug on each and every one of them!
