Unless it is a variant spelling of Xhosa, I haven't, either.

Look it up. Seriously. Don't ask here. It's time you start reducing your dependence on other people.

Then keep looking it up. You should use Google and Wikipedia more often.

Plant this seed in your brain and see if it bears fruit:
JUpiter is JUmbo
Does this look familiar from the last time you asked this question?

Do you know the state capitals? Juneau is the capital of the largest state. Juno is married to Jupiter, king of Roman gods. Jupiter is the largest planet.

Largest state, largest planet, largest power of the Roman gods, all superlatives that go together and start with Ju

And to preemptively respond to your reply, yes there are 11 billion other Roman gods and there are 11 billion other US states, I’m only asking you to know one of each.

I work with someone who speaks Hausa, so it's not new to me. This page suggests it's worth knowing about, given 63 million speakers.

Well, the original clue said 50 million, which is obviously a sizable discrepancy but did make clear that it is a major language. But my point was that it was a clue you could figure out even without actual knowledge.

Why is it that literally every attempt to learn has failed? I've tried by rote and it just falls back out of my head 10 seconds later. I've tried mnemonics and I always end up overthinking them. ("Okay, it was something about a Roman god. Or was it a Greek god? And then something about a capital... No, something in Alaska. I don't think it was the capital... or was it?") I've tried digging deeper and trying to get curious about one thing, and it all just falls back out of my head. I've tried beating my head against the wall.

What I remember or forget isn't even consistent.

One of the favorite games here:

360/8

8 goes into 36 four times. 32 taken away from 36 is 4. With the zero that makes 40. 40 divided by 8 = 5. The four from the first part and five from the second part makes 45. No problem.

Or

360/8 can be 180/4 then 90/2 = 45. Done.

Or

Picture a pizza. A circular one, or perhaps a square one works better for you. A circle is 360 degrees. Four pieces are 90 degrees each. Cut one of those 90s in half to get 45.

I went with the last on the list: 360/4 = 90, because square. Then 90/2 = 45.
The best thing that Neil Armstrong ever did, was to let us all imagine we were him.
