Damn it, how could I forget? I used to do a Reagan impression where I'd go on and on about how "I met my wife Nancy while filming Hellcats of the Navy", but when I did this all I could come up with was "Bedtime"hscer wrote:4. "I haven't felt this awful since we saw that Ronald Reagan film."

Re: Think Different 224: Airplane!
With 53 possible answers I thought that I probably knew a film that Reagan was in, but that I couldn't recall the name of one or didn't realize that he was in it. But after seeing all those answers, nope, not a one rings a bell. I was hoping that with 53 answers to choose from, the fish would be worth less, but I think using it here will still turn out to be a better choice than using the steak and answering "Staying Alive," the only answer I could come up with, for question 10.

Went obscure with the war question and got burned. I figured Austria-Hungary would still get more points than it did. It was my first choice and I should have stayed with it because I knew it was correct. I did the right thing on Reagan. I only knew two of his movies and they both got major points.

I figured this is one that everybody knew the obscure ones, so the "obvious" ones would be good answers. I was torn between Knute Rockne and BFB. I ended up going with the latter since I thought the obvious tie in with the former would be TOO obvious. Nice to see it didn't make THAT much difference.

5. "He's alive but unconscious."
"Just like Gerald Ford."
Gerald Ford, despite having been a great collegiate athlete, got a reputation for being clumsy, hence the joke. While the reputation wasn't entirely unearned, it was aided by an impression done by Chevy Chase on Saturday Night Live. But that's not important right now.
Ford was appointed Vice President and assumed the office of President, having been elected to neither. Name a person who was elected at least once to BOTH offices, President and Vice President. (8 answers)
---
With so few answers to choose, there was no singleton, but interestingly, no double-digit answers either. Very balanced.

Only other movies of his I could think of were Bonzo, Rockne, Hellcats and Kings Row. The one where the president played someone named for a president seemed the most obscure.MarkBarrett wrote:Lampy: Good one with Cattle Queen of Montana - You like Back to the Future?

I once saw a movie of his but could not recall his name. He played a guy who planted into a POW camp on North Korea to try to spy on them. Anyone know what I'm talking about.
Edit.....I looked it up and it was called Prisoner of War.

I wondered how you got to 8 answers. Can these two really be considered to have been elected VP, since prior to the adoption of the 12th Amendment in 1804, the VP was simply the runner-up in the Presidential voting by the Electoral College?hscer wrote: Thomas Jefferson (4)
