Good thing I didn’t know Shelley was buried in Rome then! I knew Keats’s epitaph was something like "Here lies One whose Name was written in Water" so I thought it's probably not him. I only picked him because I didn’t know of anyone else.

Keats died from tuberculosis. Back in those days, that wasn't the sort of body you moved; you put it underground as fast as possible and then burned the room it died in.

Shelley was cremated after drowning, in accordance with Italian law...and they kept a souvenir of him to pass around so they didn't need to trot the ashes around everywhere.
