Inasmuch that I feel that Teacher's Tournament Jeopardy is slightly dumbed down, I went with the more "obvious" algebra.

So I take it I'm the only one who said "Well, it's not algebra" then hit a dead end when trying to pull up any other "Al-" math words...

Your wife would have been ruled correct, as well, since some translations use the word 'abandoned'(including he mass books used in the Catholic Church).
YAY! I'll tell her (sheepishly; toe digs). BTW; "Why Is it Safe?" Is also a question!

That was a hot game! At one point Lydia had a runaway, but then the middle contestant caught fire toward the end of DJ. And then the male contestant got reversed on a bad call and then got a couple of high dollar clues, making it anyone's game. But both of the non-Lydia contestants bungled their wagering. They should have stood pat or made low wagers. Conceivably all three of them could have been semi-finalists. I was cheering for Lydia. She had that go-getter spirit.
I'd rather cuddle then have sex. If you're into grammar, you'll understand.

Count me in the Lydia fan club! Her local station had some footage of her enjoying a Classroom Jeopardy! visit by Clue Crew member Kelly yesterday morning.

Glad to see a local contestant win! Best of luck to her in the Tournament.

I missed FJ, which I thought was pretty difficult even after hearing the correct response. I went with "algebra" because I knew it was Arabic. Close but no cigar.

Well... no.

If I had 50 cents for every math question I got right, I'd have $6.30 by now.

Note: When you're married, your wife is *always* ruled correct, no exceptions.

This is why Alex's wife has never been allowed to appear on the show.

Well after all, that is the question.
It was identified as "this query" so I think "To be or not to be?" was the expected response. No daring and no "What is..." required.
Another "algebra" here.

If you have never seen "Marathon Man", see it. The dentist scene will stay with you a long time. But beside that it is a fine movie.
23 correct in J and 17 in DJ. I did not know the FJ.
President's Moms was fun for me.

Sigh, yes and I'm reminded of that daily... back to transcribing Scripture.

I looked for Ms. right. I married her and found out her first name was always!

She calls me "Mr. Know-it-all", I call her "Mrs. Always-right". Marriage is a wonderful institution.

By chance the Final from #2919 came up on the Archive splash screen, and I almost thought it was from this thread's game, because in that game, Alex said, "And three teachers up there, but none of them teaches math!"--similar to what he said in this thread's game. The Final category in #2919 was THE WORLD OF MATHEMATICS.
