Alex: Thanks, Johnny. Hi, everyone, and welcome aboard. Kerry did it the hard way on yesterday's program. Going into Final, she trailed her two challengers by $3,000 and $7,000, and yet she was the only one to come up with the correct response in Final, and that helped add to her impressive total. CONTESTANT INTERVIEWS

Alex: Evan Bick met a pretty girl in college. Tried to impress her by doing what?

Evan: Well, Alex, I met my wife Jillian--one of the first people we met at a college. We were on a camping trip for freshman orientation. I thought I'd answer all the trivia questions on the oatmeal packets, and that'll really knock her socks off, so we started dating three years later, 'cause it didn't really work.

Alex: [Chuckles] Yeah, you never know what's going to work.

Alex: All right, Jan Schwartzberg from Ithaca, New York. You built a harpsichord?

Jan: Uh, that's right, Alex. I, uh, I was a pianist and I started playing Bach, and I decided I wanted to play Bach on harpsichord, so I built myself a harpsichord in my dorm room at McGill.

Alex: My God. In Montreal.

Jan: Yes.

Alex: Now are there kits for that, or do you start from scratch? How do you even go about it?

Jan: It was--it was kits, but I did all the assembly and finish work myself.

Alex: And you still have it.

Jan: Yes, I do.

Alex: And you play it?

Jan: Not so much.

Alex: Oh, okay.

[Laughter]

Alex: Kerry Greene is our champion, and you mentioned McGill.

Jan: Mm-hmm.

Alex: And Kerry likes to visit Canada. In fact, took her mom there, right?

Kerry: I did.

Alex: To celebrate something?

Kerry: For her 50th birthday. She read Anne of Green Gables to me when I was little.

Alex: Did you go to Prince Edward Island?

Kerry: And we went to P.E.I.

Alex: Oh, isn't that wonderful?

Kerry: And I loved it so much that I've been back almost every year since. [Chuckles]

Alex: To Prince Edward Island?

Kerry: I do. I have friends there, and you know, been...

Alex: Have you been to Cape Breton Island?

Kerry: Mm-hmm.

Alex: That's a lovely spot, too.

Kerry: I've been there as well. I've been to Newfoundland. I, you know, I...

Alex: If it's an island, you're going there.

Kerry: Well, yeah, the Maritimes I've traveled pretty well, so...

Alex: All right, good for you.

JEOPARDY! ROUND DAILY DOUBLE
Evan found the Daily Double on the 23rd clue. Kerry had $3,400, Jan had $1,800, and Evan was at $6,600. Evan wagered $3,000.

THE BOOK OF EXODUS $600: The names of these 2 current countries appear in the very first verse of Exodus

TRIPLE STUMPERS IN THE JEOPARDY! ROUND
WE LOVE YOU, TORONTO! $800: Flag down this apt 2-word name of Amtrak's route that starts in New York City & ends in Toronto

SCORES AT THE END OF THE JEOPARDY! ROUND

Kerry: $5,000

Another good game! FJ was instaget for me. The only thing I didn't like about this game was the contestants' collective reluctance to try the After and Before category. It was easy!
I'd rather cuddle then have sex. If you're into grammar, you'll understand.

Another game with all three players having strong scores, which gives Kerry another chance to rack up big bucks.

A near instaget FJ for me. I thought it would be hard for the players, but two got it right and another had the right idea.

The Kerry Express keeps on going! Love it.

Cleaned up in the first round but couldn't get it together in DJ!.

Never really paid attention to either father or daughter, and certainly didn't know they were related. That's a shrug from me, Alex.

A response such as "Who are Nat and Natalie King Cole?" or "Who are Nat King Cole and Natalie King Cole?" would be nagged, right?

I would not have gotten Legally Blonde had it not come up in discussion last week.

Golem (NHOI unless you're talking about the Pokémon) was my only miss in "Go", and Maple Leaf my only miss in Canada. I thought the name would be "obvious" in terms of it being a NYC-to-Toronto route, not being a symbol of Canada.

Could've run Exodus, but I knee-jerked "Moses" at $200, and went "Egypt and uhh..." on the DD. Thinkid.

9/11 and Father's Day were stupid misses for me. I am literally ashamed of not thinking of the former.

So WLT Paula Abdul on Choreography for $400?! That whole category seemed incredibly obscure, and I'm amazed it didn't have a single TS.

Could've gotten 3/5 in Psychology (actually 3.5/5, as I was thinking "Sub… subl… sub something" on $800), but couldn't get any to my mouth in time. Desensitization was the only one I had no chance on.

I thought Chesapeake and Pontchartrain were easier than the two above them. Ere and Lesotho were also overvalued, so I clammed.

Hmm, Nat King Cole is from that era, and I know he had a daughter named Natalie. I also knew that they did a duet at some point. Got it.

Congratulations, Kerry, on another impressive win! All three contestants were good. I had 33 correct responses including three triple stumpers: maple leaf, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and posterior. Instaget FJ.

It's well-known she was a Laker Girl.
And that her career started as Janet's choreographer. I predicted her being in the category before the start.

OK then, at least I'm not seeing things. Unless that's what she called herself at some point, I give up trying to figure out the rules of this game.

Congrats to Kerry on earning the fifth win!

I agree that this was a fabulous game! It was also a first rate board.

For once I actually won out on a 50 50 90 guess, when I picked Lesotho over Swaziland.

I wouldn't have gotten FJ even if my life had depended on it.

Yes and I am surprised that was allowed, technically it was another person!

Sigh... 44 R for me and no get on FJ. TS on: Posterior, White Fang, Lesotho for King Letsie III. Prepping for the online. Wondering, different login plan this year, before you would choose a date then log in on that day, now just come when you can? No guidance...

FJ was an Instaget.

Does this mean Kerry is pretty close to being on the ToC?

The giant killer is now a giant!

I pre-called Frank and Nancy Sinatra and then couldn't think of anyone else. :)
