I'm trying to figure out now which tournaments will come up later after the reruns. There was one year (perhaps others, but 2004 of which I am aware) that the TOC was in September, so perhaps this September will feature one of the missing tournaments from this season (Teen or College). Perhaps they'll do two together in November? I'd like to see a road trip again, but not if it's celebrities. I will admit recently the celebrities have performed better and been less "silly" but still... Personally, I'd like to see a road trip that includes a week of regular shows like the Boston trip some years ago. They could do the last week of the TOC whenever it airs (May 2016??) on the road, or the teen tourney again, and then the following week, have regular games with a contestant focus from wherever they end up going. I guess they could do a college trip again too, maybe say, to a university in Canada , but only for the last week, and then have a Canadian week. All contestants (except the initial returning champion) could be Canadians, or the could possibly let in some Americans from the closest border states too.

I read (here, under "The downfall") that the September ToC in 2004 (and the October Kids Week in that year) were an attempt to maintain some suspense around when Ken Jennings's streak would end. In the case of the ToC, it would have also served to open up a spot during a sweeps period that could be used for the UToC finals.

My gut instinct is the Season 32 ToC will be held in February. If it were to be held in November, I suspect some of the competitors who post here would have already let us know (last year, that information started to trickle out in mid-July). A May ToC would mean over 300 regular games since the last one, a cycle length even longer than the S31 ToC.

I wonder if TPTB have made a decision not to travel the show anymore; the last games taped anywhere other than Culver City were in May 2012. As for Teen and College... there haven't been online tests held for those groups in quite a while. Could that leave another Teachers' Tournament in the November slot? We shall see.

Wheel isn't doing any road shows for the upcoming season, for the first time since 1990-91.
