Off the top of my head...

Al MacInnis
Joe Nieuwendyk
Joel Otto
Theo Fleury
Mike Vernon
Brett Hull (edit: Hull's last season with the Flames was 1988)
Tim Hunter
Yep, Brett was traded to the Blues for a backup goalie and Rob Ramage. You're missing the best name on the 89 Flames: Hakan Loob.

Which are those the '89 Flames, Kamloops streets, or both?
Gordon's favorite '80s music acts.

It took me three years and twelve attempts at sniping eBay auctions, but last year I finally was able to obtain the album "Songs to Humiliate Bernie Federko By" from Nieuwy and the Flaming Ottos.

(And I wouldn't put it past Kamloops to name a street after Jarome Iginla when he retires from the NHL...)

Oh, they are 100% naming a street after him. It won't be until he seeks off his interest in the team though.

Rightfully so, he is the nicest NHLer I've met, by far. Way nicer than Mark Recchi, who currently has the street the rink's on named after him. I got to work with both of those guys for a short stint in 2005, one of the coolest summer jobs ever.

I met Craig Ludwig a couple of months ago, and he was super accommodating and talked Jets hockey with me for a few minutes. A bunch of the 2000s-era Stars frequent one of the local craft breweries.

Survey: what two titles helped people with #5? Kajagoogoo and Santana were enough for me.

Thompson Twins and .38 Special for me.

I totally knew Tiffany and Billy Idol, but forgot to RTFQ and said the song names instead. Oh, well.
Not many people can say they've lost four times on Jeopardy!.

Mostly .38 Special and Thompson Twins, but Richard Marx put it away for sure. Perfect first question. Obviously I'm going to like any ML where I beer the first day, but I especially enjoyed those questions.

Same here, except that I couldn't have pulled Tiffany's name even I had RTFQ  And never have I felt so sad at never (until yeaterday) having been rickrolled. Not only was I the only one in my group (82) not to get it, but I also foolishly gave it a 3, thereby sealing my loss.

Well, I'm not in LL yet, but this is one I definitely wish I could be in. Following along, reading the questions on the website. I went 5 for 6. That first one got me. Yep, Rick Rolled. I totally thought of A-Ha's "Take on Me". Now, that I think about it that was from 86 not 87.

Me too!

Edit to add: Because I didn't RTFQ on #1, I never saw the "click here" and didn't realize there was a video. D'oh!

I legitimately wondered if the clip might be a red herring for several seconds.

It was on the tip of my tongue until I got to Marx at the end. Then I started having a suspicion and listening again confirmed it with a song near the beginning (can't think of which, and probably don't know the artist anyways, and besides I'm at work right now)

Same. But I couldn't get the clue at all without the clip, I had nothing else. (Plus I realized the genius of starting the ML with that song)

I totally got that one solely from the Weird Al reference, and I suspect I'm not the only one where the clue was made insanely easier at that point.

Knew it by Santana, but Thompson Twins confirmed it for me.

Correct. I think it'd have scored below 20% without it.

How/where can we see the questions if we're not in LL? I'm curious, I consider '80s music a strength as well.

EDIT: NM, decided to actually check site after posting, took me 23 seconds. ~

As expected, I lost 6(5)-0(1).

On the bright side, perfect defense!!!!
