It's just odd isn't it? Only when saying the word "hundred".

WLT "Atlantic" on Film for $200?

Surprised myself by getting the Midsummer Night's Dream/Winter's Tale DD.

Didn't recognize a single name in that Standup category.

No guess on FJ! I could've taken a hundreeeeeeeeeeeeeed guesses and not even hit a king.

Pretty sure this was a scene in The Tudors. If it wasn't, I still got it right. :)

It's not just hundred, but it is one of the words where it is the most evident. Several people have tweeted to Aziz Ansari apologizing for the way she said his name.

I know we're gonna have the same back and forth discussion about this, but I'm sorry ... it is seriously making it difficult to watch an episode.

"Pond"? As in "Across the ..."? No?

Yeah, didn't think so.

I guessed Cardinal Richelieu; had no idea.

Was this Final Jeopardy over my head?

Congrats to Laura on her second win. She won with the same amount of money ($18,401) that she won with in her first game. I wonder if anyone else (prior to Laura) had back-to-back Jeopardy! games in which they won the same amount each time. I had 35 correct responses including these triple stumpers: 200 miles per hour, Margaret Chase Smith, marigold, corps/corpse, Lake Maracaibo, Prince William Sound, Tennessee Williams, and tonsils. Instaget FJ.

I've heard "across the pond" before, but thought it just meant "overseas" and not "across the Atlantic" specifically.

I also guessed Richelieu. I was trying to think of someone Catholic as opposed to someone Anglican. Guess that means I've missed seven FJ's in a row. I don't know if that's a personal record, but I hope it is.

I got "aglet" largely as a result of one of the incorrect responses in the ToC (a source not available to the contestants in this game).

At that point, he was a Catholic.

I didn't notice Laura's vocal tic two weeks ago, but once I caught it tonight, it was all I could notice. When Aziz Ansari's face appeared, my thought was, "oh, God, Laura's going to have a seizure trying to say his name." Not quite, but she clearly was having a lot of trouble with it.

I locked in Erasmus right away on Final, and felt pretty confident in it. The writers had some cleverness left over from the Tournament of Champions, it seems.

Wasn't thrilled with Alex's comment going into DJ that "the players weren't doing well". Was hoping Colin would go TDD, TDD, then say "How am I doing NOW Alex?!"

This game was a hot mess (and that phrase, by the way, was one of the many lach trash opportunities I picked up). I miss the TOC already.

Congrats to Laura on the win. I was kind of spoiled as to the likely outcome when it was revealed on The Jeopardy! Fan's panel discussion last night that she had just started a twitter account; it seemed to me that she would only go to the trouble of doing that if she was about to win at least one more game and possibly go on a run. Her opponents sure gave her a lot of help in this game. For example: in the "yellow" category Matt negs with tuna (which didn't fit the category) and no BMS was given. Colin then tries for the rebound with "yellowfin tuna."

And Matt's FJ wager was also calculated to improve Laura's chances of winning (although with the sole solve it ended up not mattering). He also under-wagered on his second DD.

Request for a weekly poll question: "My incorrect guess on Monday's FJ was Thomas More." :) I would check the box on that one. I assumed it couldn't be the guy who split off the Anglican church from Rome, but I didn't realize that 1521 was over a decade before Henry VIII broke with Rome and was excommunicated.

She stumbled at first but I didn't think she pronounced it badly at all.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I think Laura's tone is very pleasant to listen to. Brought a smile to my face almost every response.

If you missed tonight's FJ, this might make you feel better: I would never have thought I would fail to solve a Final Jeopardy with "Martin Luther" in the clue. Tonight, I did.(I'm a Lutheran pastor.)

When are they going to penalize her for incorrect pronunciation?

My grandma and I PVR every episode, haven't missed one in a couple years, seriously considering checking the spoilers and only watching again once she's lost.
It really is ruining the show for me.
