I believe the category in #9 was British Open winners, #16 was Australian Open venues named for famous Aussie tennis players, and #17 was the Winter Olympics.

Couldn't come up with Pebble Beach in time, wrote down Carmel.
Finally, no clue on the Italian Canadian boxer (he was Arturo Gatti); I wrote the clearly wrong answer George Chuvalo just to avoid leaving it blank.

I remember now what my guess was for clue: it was Cap Anson, who baseball historians debate on the number of hits actually credited to him, but is under Musial or Aaron's totals, regardless.
29/30, it appears. Guessed blue lines over red lines, the Outland over the Nagurski or Lombardi trophies, discus over shot put, and coxswain was the only rowing term I could think of.
A couple of alternate answers to point out: 15. Margaret Court was born Margaret Smith, and thus is also known as Margaret Smith Court. 16. For sponsorship reasons, Charlotte Motor Speedway was known as Lowe's Motor Speedway from 1998 to 2009. If you don't follow NASCAR closely, you may still know the track by its former name.
