Re: TD #312 - Fall is Approaching - STANDINGS
It's your game and your choice on how to announce the scores, but this wasn't the most exciting reveal we've ever had.

Re: TD #312 - Fall is Approaching - STANDINGS
It's awesome that upi wrote a TD, but it should be noted that part of the responsibility, though NOT written in law, is to do a reveal question by question.
That's the way it's traditionally been done and that's what MOST people enjoy. Since TD Masters are theoretically doing this as a service to other people, the will of the people should be respected.
If you'd like tips on how to do the reveal, many people, myself included, are more than happy to help out.
Heck, I'd even do the reveal myself if given the information if you don't have time for it!

Re: TD #312 - Fall is Approaching - STANDINGS
My apologies, i wouldn't want to break tradition. I am new to the TD, this is my first one.
I surely don't mind putting the results of each question. I have been swamped today, I will get it out later today.
Next time, it will be much better. I enjoyed making the TD and would love to make more!

Re: TD #312 - Fall is Approaching - STANDINGS
There is no rush to post anything at all. Generally, the TDmaster posts 1-2 questions a day spread out over a week to build drama/suspense.
I hope you didn't take my comments as an insult or indictment. You did a FANTASTIC job of creating a TD and should be commended!

Re: TD #312 - Fall is Approaching - QUESTION 3 RELEASED
Here are the results from Question 3.
3. The World Series. Also known as the “Fall Classic” is a staple in American History every October where the two best baseball teams face off to win the ultimate prize in Major League Baseball. Throughout the MLB’s storied history, there is no pressure filled moment than playing in a Game 7 where one decision can either cost or win you the championship. Many teams, including their die-hard fans have tasted the sweetness of victory and the bitterness of defeat. For this question we are going to look back at the last 50 years. Since 1965, name ONE team that has WON and LOST a Game 7 in the World Series. This ONLY includes teams that have maintained the same team name and location.

Re: TD #312 - Fall is Approaching - QUESTION 4 RELEASED
Here are the results from Question 4.
4. Election Day. Every four years in early November, we conduct our constitutional right after spending months of watching debates and hearing candidates talk about how they can make America great again. Did you know that long ago, presidential elections initially were held throughout the month of December? It wasn’t until 1845 when Election Day became the official day of voting. Throughout our country’s election history, most presidents won their respective elections by receiving the electoral and popular vote. There are moments in our history where the presidential candidate lost the popular vote, but still became president. Name ONE of the winning or losing candidates in any of the four elections.

Re: TD #312 - Fall is Approaching - QUESTIONS 5 and 6 RELEASED
This was a perfect storm of misjudgment.floridagator wrote:You mean I'm the only one who got a correct answer?
I had no idea how Forbes would define "horror" (especially since they're not an entertainment outlet), so I was afraid their list might include movies that I personally wouldn't think of as horror (like War of the Worlds, which I guess fits but I would categorize as scifi), squeezing out others.
There's also quite a few movies (like Signs) which were terrible, but which I forgot made a ton of money anyway.
Also, unadjused for inflation might mean that recent flicks would squeeze out a "classic", simply because ticket prices are higher now.
Plus, I'm so used to reading worldwide totals (since domestic totals are sometimes only a third of the total gross) that I flat out don't remember how much of the big box office numbers in my head are worldwide, or just the US.
So either I pick a blinkingly obvious movie and risk a sheep, roll the dice on something like, say Blair Witch Project (which wasn't in their top 10, for one of the above reasons) or just drop it and avoid the hassle.
And after all of that...if I'd known there would only be 18 entries I would've just said Sixth Sense
