Re: College Jeopardy Online Test
Just finished. I think it's my first time taking the College Test even though I'm a junior. Can't wait to see the questions posted, but as of right now I think I missed around five. Now the waiting begins!

I think that I was ~35 or so. Had a couple where I got the answer too late

Did you get the Olympic gymnast one? I put Aly Raisman but I think it was the Simone girl. And the 1800's novel location one, was that Pride and Prejudice?nivek1385 wrote:I think that I was ~35 or so. Had a couple where I got the answer too late

I think it was P&P, but not 100%.
Edit: just looked it up, 'twas P&P.

Yep yep. Got a 42 on this test, some pretty challenging clues IMHO! The date here '1813' is Austen-era, the Bronte sisters published in 1847.nivek1385 wrote:I remembered Biles' name at the 15 second mark.Brayden wrote:Did you get the Olympic gymnast one? Asking for year of First Bull Run?! Gosh pretty tough clue for youngsters!?! (1861 BTW, it was a real picnic...).

The list I posted was what I believe to be the correct answers, not my own. The ones I didn't know or wasn't sure of I looked up to confirm.IronNeck wrote:Ah, just saw jeff's post right before mine. Which ones did you think you got wrong?

Re: College Jeopardy Online Test
Thank you S & J as you make it easy to take the test and check my answers hours after it's over.
42/50 with three of them American History stuff I should know by now and not lose on 50/50s. Drinks and current abbreviations I expect to miss. Things in the Austen/Bronte area are the kinds I can get one night and mess up the next never having them down cold.
Good luck to those looking for the in-person audition.

Yikes. Double-checked my answers and it looks like a -9. I misread a couple and it ended up costing me. Should be enough to get me through the first round though.

Re: College Jeopardy Online Test
Ah, thank you. 39/50 for me, then. And honestly, with the exception of 2., there wasn't any miss I felt horribly about. So even more props to those who are college-aged or younger that scored higher, and best of luck in making the show! I imagine the competition is incredibly fierce, and my score might not have been enough.jeff6286 wrote:The list I posted was what I believe to be the correct answers, not my own. 4. Vesuvius
Spoiler
Vesuvius is not on Sicily, it's on the mainland. The correct answer to the volcano one was Etna. It's also worth knowing that there's a volcanic island off the coast of Sicily called Stromboli, which has come up on J! as well as in LL before.
