Interactive Periodic Table of the Elements

Post by Blue Lion »

The elements come up often in Jeopardy, and there's usually a question about the periodic table on the online test.

Keith Enevoldsen has created an interactive version of the periodic table, with a description of the element and what it is used in.

Even if you're not boning up on the elements, the site is a lot of fun.

I usually find chemistry boring, but this is actually interesting. Thanks!

Bar trivia too. I was at one and the bonus round was to name as many noble gasses as possible. I thought to put down radon, but I was so unsure I put something else. Grr.

That is a cool site.

Couldn't resist posting that 4 new elements have just gotten names! Names have been approved for elements 113, 115, 117, and 118.

And if a mod gets some request for activation --- please just disregard ---- I hit a key by mistake and that page came up, but I hope I actually didn't say to send it. I was able to login fine, so there shouldn't be a problem (I have klutzy fingers)... Thanks.

Today, I got an email from a gentleman who created a Periodic Table of Beer. Even if you're not a beer geek, you might find it amusing: https://www.sunglasswarehouse.com/blog/ ... le-of-beer
