At 39, Macron will become the youngest French president since Napoleon Bonaparte. I can see that one popping up as a DD or FJ later this year.

Although Napoleon never was president if I recall correctly.

Right. His nephew Louis-Napoleon (Napoleon III) was, but not him.

Given that Marie Kondo came up this season (as a TS no less), I would suspect the writers might go for "hygge" in a lifestyle or language category. I'm seeing it everywhere all of a sudden.

If it does come up, that might lead to some interesting pronunciations from the contestants. And they would have to accept anything that would be a plausible phonetic reading.

True. They might spot the word and ask the origin (Danish), or maybe it's too obscure? we'll see

OK, then Macron is the youngest French head of state since Napoleon.

On Sunday, May 14, prior to a game against the Houston Astros, the New York Yankees will retire shortstop Derek Jeter's number 2. It is the last single-digit number to be retired by the Yankees.

Jeter is married to Hannah Davis, who appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated’s swimsuit edition in 2015.

In addition, an investment group led by Jeter and former Florida governor Jeb Bush is trying to raise enough money to buy the Miami Marlins from owner Jeffrey Loria.

John Grisham book June 2017: Camino Island

Amazon blurb: A gang of thieves stage a daring heist from a secure vault deep below Princeton University’s Firestone Library. Bruce Cable owns a popular bookstore in the sleepy resort town of Santa Rosa on Camino Island in Florida. He makes his real money, though, as a prominent dealer in rare books.

Notable TV shows that have been renewed for two additional years (through 2018-19):

The Big Bang Theory.
The Goldbergs.
Modern Family.
The Simpsons.

Renewed for next season:

Law & Order: SVU. Next season will be its 19th. It currently ranks #4 on the list of longest-running scripted prime-time shows.
New Girl. Next season will be its last.
Scandal. Next season will be its last.

Won't return this fall:

2 Broke Girls (CBS).
American Crime (ABC). Not to be confused with American Crime Story, which will return.
Bones (Fox).
Dr. Ken (ABC), which came up this season.
Grimm (NBC).
Sleepy Hollow (Fox).
The Vampire Diaries (The CW).

Also not returning: Last Man Standing (ABC). Tim Allen's character, Mike Baxter, is in charge of marketing for an outdoor sporting goods store chain. Baxter is politically conservative, as is Allen; and fans of the show blame political correctness for the its cancellation.

Chris Cornell, singer of Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog, and Audioslave, has died after performing a concert in Detroit.

With Temple of the Dog (a supergroup of several bands from Seattle's grunge scene), Cornell provided vocals to the song "Say Hello 2 Heaven." Good chance that title shows up in a 2017 obituary clue.

Roger Ailes, the founder of Fox News who left the conservative media network last summer amid multiple sexual harassment allegations, has also died.
