I didn't remember Nostradamus was a doctor or that he'd written an almanac (or even that he was French) but thinking of old almanacs made me think of the Old Farmer's Almanac which traffics in prediction, and together with predicted in the clue they led me right...
My next problem was, Who was that guy who supposedly made all the predictions?? This time memory worked and it came to me with a few seconds to spare - enough time to worry that he was too early for the category!
