There was a discussion here last November about Gandhi's time in South Africa, when some guessed him for a clue about Nelson Mandela...So no way I was missing this one, though I'd call the category a little misleading...

That must be what I was remembering. I had a vague feeling I'd learned recently, from here or the show, that Gandhi had a South Africa connection. That helped me stick with that response. Not being able to think of an alternative also helped.

I notice we also learned this connection a couple of years ago from the $400 WORLD HISTORY clue in this game.
