Whoddathunk? While I like the consistory I'm showing in getting 2 for every question so far, I am shocked that someone else (Ironhorse) has heard of Newton, KS!

South Central Kansas is representing!
I grew up in Kansas myself, though in suburban KC.
Never been on J!, but once won a knockoff version that aired on local access TV.

I'm sure you don't resemble this fellow, but I couldn't help thinking of this.

Funny, I actually did play the Wizard in the fifth grade musical, largely because I had the loudest voice in the school.

The CIA Factbook calls it such, so that's good enough for me.

William Dawes for the singleton was just as good as the other option I considered with Samuel Prescott in recalling the duo coming up in Quiz Show.

That was fun. It's only because I assign "What is the Third Estate" every year that I remember Abbe Sieyes. My first instinct was Olympe de Gouges, but I thought someone else might nab that as well.

Dammit. I felt pretty confident there wouldn't be any other John Andre's! So close, yet so far.... Good game.

LMAO, when Hamilton, Washington and Adams all go as singletons, we don't have to try too hard, it seems  Great game, morbeedo, and congratulations to my fellow podiumites Troydozzy and mastercone

Thanks for another great TD, Morbeedo. Maybe next time I'll think before I sheep.
My philosophy: We watch for the game. Players who get in the way of the game intrude, whether they're arrogant or adlib or cackle or fidget or make noise or are rude to AT. We want those who just play the game and don't make it about themselves to win.

William Dawes for the singleton was just as good as the other option I considered with Samuel Prescott in recalling the duo coming up in Quiz Show.
I was pondering a few people from Turn: Washington's Spies, but I figured Woodhull was pretty safe.

We're just finishing season 3.

ETA Thanks for another excellent TD!
