No answer Wednesday.
The TOM for magnet school didn't click.
I didn't get Kampala even after Alex identified the impala.
I would have said Death of a Salesman but I knew Mrs. Loman is in the play, so that made it seem less likely. I think if Godot hadn't occurred to me I might have gone with Greater Tuna to have something and it'd be worth a laugh at least.
Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

Incorrectly identified the animal as a springbok, seen here:
http://www.theanimalfiles.com/images/springbok_2.jpg
and figured that was as likely a name for a African capital city as anything.

(I think it's pretty close - black stripe on side or not, and some differences in the curly antlers. Size is hard to judge without any references in the photos.)

Solar wind and iPhone were a instagets for me.

I at least named a 19th century Vice President and a State Capital, although I was sure both were wrong.

Completely clueless on the rest.

The woman here guessed IPhone. I wasn't sure it qualified as an "invention". On the other hand, I'm not really up to speed on that sort of thing.

I'm sorry I forgot you, Jay. We should hang out more.

I should have recognized the year, but "too big" led me to the i-Pad...
I would have gotten to Montpelier only if i could have gotten to the end of the states alphabetically in :30...
A vastly entertaining tournament, but it was nice to feel like I was keeping up with the players, too.

I have to thank this board for helping me get Monday’s FJ. I am weak on 19th century US history and had never heard of Hamlin until his name came up in a number of discussions and I think a TD or two over the past few years.

My second 3/5 week in a row, and oddly enough, this week's gets and misses are in the exact same pattern as last week.

6/10 in this year's ToC overall, which I'm very happy about since I only got three clues in the past two ToCs combined.

Got lucky on going from Hamelin to Hamlin purely on a hunch. iPhone was instaget, and not just because of recent hoopla about 10th anniversary. Would have taken much longer than 30 seconds to get VerMontpelier. Guessed "No Exit" for the play, and Vichy for the hero/traitor.

Instagets on magnet school, solar wind, and Jay Rockefeller though.

I admit, Hamlin was a very good get on my part. And then I get not one, but two triple-stumper FJ!s right during the TOC finals.

Maybe, now that I've finally crossed Wheel off the ol' bucket list, I should try out for J!...

It seemed easier than a ToC should've been. I got my mind on Windhoek for that African capitals DD so I blew that one. Toughest FJ for me was the Waiting For Godot until I saw "small."
