Contestants should be excited when they win, Eric's fist pump was nice to see and was not inappropriate.
Hope I didn't imply that I didn't think so; indeed, it was a nice sign of humanity. I'll be interested to see if he's a bit more relaxed for his first game at the champion's lectern.

I had never heard anything about Mother Theresa's background so it was a surprise to see this as a triple get, not to mention pretty much universal opinion here that this was an easy FJ. I would have guessed Europe, but Albania would probably be just about last on my list of guesses, and maybe even after guessing Lichtenstein and Andorra, but probably ahead of The Vatican. ;)
She was ethnically Albanian, but born in what is now Macedonia (Skopje). I don't think she ever lived in Albania.

This FJ was a pavlov test for "famous Albanian = ?"

FJ!: :(

Ran Tech Crunch, Lit Sci & Arts, In The City (DJ!).

TIL Mother Teresa (not Theresa) was Albanian. Having never put that together previously (Calcutta being in India and all), I WAGged Malala Yousafzai knowing it was wrong.

Not necessarily. I was making an educated guess based on the second half of the clue. That part sounded like that nun/saint who famously worked in the slums of India. The Albanian part then became something that didn’t rule her out, as I knew this famous nun/saint was from Eastern Europe.

The hard part for me was getting from nun/saint to a name.

22 right, 3 wrong today. Was 100% on Kim Kardashian for Final, remembering her outspoken opposition to Armenian Genocide deniers. I only had five seconds left when I realized that it said "Albanian," and I panicked and threw out Nadia Comaneci. Turns out she's Romanian
This made me chuckle. Responding "Kim Kardashian" when the answer is "Mother Teresa" would probably be the wrongest wrong answer ever.
OMG. There, but for the grace of God. . . Of course, another day it might be a tossup between Jesus and Yeezy. Thank goodness I'm outta there!

Aww. Thanks a lot. JBoard is keeping me off the streets, so I'll try to stick with it. The original plan was for my husband to get on the show, and JBoard will keep us in the loop as we dare to hope that lightning might strike twice. (My J! involvement was the ultimate fluke and goes to show anything can happen in J!Land.)

Kara, you were awesome and we were hoping to see you around a bit more this week, but it was a great game!

Get your husband on the show! How hard could it be?

Thanks, Chuck! The biggest regret is I had to make it to LAX that evening and couldn't go drinking--I mean, to the "debriefing" with everybody.

Henry doesn't have any felonies, but he doesn't know anything about the Kardashians. I think I'll make him a Venn diagram.

Would it be asking too much for the moderators to require that every reference to the dreaded K-word be spoilerized, or double spoilerized (is that possible?)? It is an exception to my usual rule, but I feel elevated every time I diminish that clan  . But I jest, to each their own (awaiting grammar police for this homily ;) ) There are people who love them and think trivia knowledge is for losers and sad people. And even some presidents who think any knowledge is sad.

Seems excessive; they're spoiled enough already. ;)

I regret that I used disruptive language in this forum. The use of the K-word was purely satiric, and I sincerely apologize for this error. Now, let us join hands and pray that we never see a K inaugural gown alongside Mamie Eisenhower's at The Smithsonian.

Say what you will about Kim, but I don't remember "Tagging Along With Teresa" coming close to Kardashian ratings.

I would like to graciously point out that the lovely Alex pronounced reprised incorrectly. The musical term reprise is pronounced with a long e sound. Its homograph is pronounced with a long i sound when it's used to mean take retributive action against someone.

Just ask Frank Sinatra who named his record label Reprise.

One last word about Daily Doubles, if you'll indulge me. Yeah, I don't specifically hunt them down, but I will accept them when they're offered. Neat with a twist.

All I know about them is that they conquered and occupied Bajor until Star Fleet liberated the Bajorians. Just another alien species for mankind to put up with.
I'm not the defending Jeopardy! champion. But I have played one on TV.
