I am taking a ragtag team: half of my normal pub trivia team + half boardies!

Hope to see you there! :D

I'm interested in it but going up to Beantown in February could be dicey.

South Carolina. I'd probably drive because I could stop in NYC area & visit family/friends.

For me it's not about driving there, but I would hate to make plans, spend money on such plans, only to have the famous Blizzard of '18 hit and ruin said plans.

As for coming up from SC, if driving seems dicey when the time comes for travel, maybe drive to DC, get the Acela up to Boston? I'm in Allentown, PA and if I go, I would be considering a bus to NYC, then the Acela.

Thanks. I'm actually a refugee from NYC area. I'd love to do this Geek thing but the possibility of a blizzard is high.

Having lived in a few different areas of the country, I'll chime in that unless there's an actual Nor'easter going on that day, the roads will be in decent shape. The Northeast understands the use of the snowplow in ways that the Midwest can only dream about.

If my mother had told me more than a couple of weeks ago that she was heading south for 6 weeks starting today, I could have arranged this. I thought I would be paying a visit to Toronto for the holiday weekend.

:(

Of course, that would require getting my passport - which I still haven't done (yes, yes, I *know*).
