To add to that, Mexico City elected it's first female and first Jewish mayor: Claudia Sheinbaum. She's also a member of AMLO's party, Morena.

One bit of trivia about AMLO, he was the runner up for Mexico's presidency in both 2006 and 2012.

Also, you better accept AMLO as a response if you ask about him, TPTB!

Not to be confused with the guy who recorded "Stepping Out" (1982). Or the shoeless member of the Black Sox.

Also not to be confused with J. J. Jackson, whose single "But It's Alright" hit the charts in both 1966 and 1969 and was later covered by Huey Lewis and the News.

To expand on that... https://jalopnik.com/travis-pastrana-la ... 1827433656
Over 400 feet of total jumps have been completed by Travis Pastrana [Sunday] in Las Vegas: one jump over 52 cars, one jump over 16 buses, and one jump over the fountain in front of Caesars Palace hotel and casino—breaking three of legendary daredevil Evel Knievel’s most insane records.

Actor Tab Hunter died at age 86. He is known for playing Danny Forrester in Leon Uris's Battle Cry and Joe Hardy in Damn Yankees. He also had a Billboard #1 hit, "Young Love" (1957). Later in his career, Hunter appeared opposite Divine in two of John Waters' films. J.J. Abrams' company is producing a film, Tab & Tony, about Hunter's clandestine relationship with Anthony Perkins during the 1950s.

I'd make the flash card but not yet add it to rotation.

Brett Kavanaugh has been nominated to replace Anthony Kennedy on SCOTUS

Thanks to his new album Scorpion, Drake has 7 of the songs in the top ten of the Billboard Hot 100, including the number one "Nice for What". This beats the Beatles 1964 record of 5 of the top 10, but their 5 held positions 1-5, a feat which has not been repeated since.

More here.

The sale of the Carolina Panthers from founder Jerry Richardson to new owner David Tepper is complete, the team announced on Monday.
I wouldn't expect J! to ask anything harder than spotting you Richardson and Tepper (along with -sold NFL team-) to come up with Panthers. The last NFL team to be sold was the Bills after Ralph Wilson's estate unloaded it in 2014.

Turned out to be some New Coke gimmick anyway and it's back to IHOP.

It’s not coming home.

Croatia (population: ~4 million) is the second-smallest country to reach a FIFA World Cup final (only Uruguay is smaller).

Spoiler

#7544, aired 2017-06-01 WHAT'S THE SCORE? $400: John Isner 70, Nicolas Mahut 68 in the 5th set of the longest match in the history of this sport
#7119, aired 2015-07-23 TODAY'S TENNIS STARS $1200: (I'm John Isner.) In June 2010 I won what was to that time the longest match in history--over 11 hours--in this Grand Slam tournament

22-22 in the 5th set (against South African Kevin Anderson) with Nadal & Djokovic still to come. I figure if I post about it then the first match will finally end.
