After two weeks in a row with near misses going 4/5, I got my fourth 5/5 of the season!
Instagets M, W, Th, and F, with Friday's coming from Woody Guthrie=Oklahoma (took a few seconds to figure out what Rodgers had to do with the state).
Tuesday's clue immediately took me to Ulysses which lead me to the punk protagonist of Portrait.
I've heard Patience and Fortitude as the NYPL lion names before but it didn't come to me in time and clammed.
Answered the Naked Maja clue in my best baritone impression of Robert Hughes, the art critic who had it bad for Goya:

I would prefer not to.

Mon: Flag
Tues: Icarus
Wed: Followed the instructions in the clue. Oregon-Idaho border. Make a name out of that. Plus I knew the company existed and have eaten some of their products (although way more french fries than tater tots
Thurs: Still don't know who this author is, and the reviews of his work make it sound like I don't want to read any.
Fri: Dumb, blind luck. With a bit of preparation, since I knew that Rodgers and Hammerstein wrote Oklahoma! That was the only thing I could guess. The only Guthrie song I know mentions several places, so no way to pick one over any other.

Pairs: YKIOYD. I don't.
Ohio city: Not enough time to think. Probably would have guessed Akron if I had the time.
Art: No idea.

The only reason I knew the Dayton one was because of the recent FJ involving the Goodyear Blimp. I recalled some discussion of Dayton being associated with aviation, so...

Kerouac was the Thursday clue which, according to the above, you got correct. You need to move your sad face one slot to the left or change your comment to "Dang Oklahoma!"

Also, you hit Enter in the wrong place, severing one mrgreen's colon and leaving it on the previous line. Ouch.

This is why I always use the Preview button before submitting my erroneous thoughts.

I can't believe you're complaining about this, Bobby. You said you didn't have a guess. ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS PICK A STATE AND YOU'D HAVE HAD A BETTER CHANCE OF GETTING IT. If you don't want to guess, that's fine, but don't complain about it afterward.

Another near-but-not-quite-sweep. Said August Wilson on Thursday. Rodgers was more helpful for me.
