A 15 game FJ streak and the chance at an ultra rare 6/6 up in smoke on a simple FJ. !@$!$, ^&$&, and phooey.

Oh hey, Runnymede made the poll, cool. I have no idea how well-known that bit of trivia is, so this'll be an interesting result.

And the sting in the tail? I still can't get "Armageddon It" out of my head.

Friday's FJ seems obvious in retrospect, but that group has not been on my radar...I would have been happier if a true school mascot clue had ruined my week...
I didn't get the tiebreaker because I was so unprepared for one, and I drew a blank for the name...
Best I could come up for the English guy involved with weather was Kelvin... I might have gotten Runnymede another time.

Flipped a coin between May and Merkel on the tiebreak and went the wrong way, partially figuring it unlikely they would ask two UK related in a row.

I wasn't really prepared for the tiebreaker, so the correct response was out there before I even thought about it for a moment. I'd like to think I would have got it right with 30 seconds of think music. Maybe 50/50 if it were in the middle of a set of clues on Prime Ministers.

I considered correct responses before giving my incorrect ones on Tuesday and Thursday (Hoover Dam and Hebrides respectively).

Beaufort escaped me.

Oh, what has science wrought? I sought only to turn a man into a metal-encased juggernaut of destruction powered by the unknown properties of a mysterious living crystal. How could this have all gone wrong?

First 1/5 week of Season 34.

Hoover Dam on Tuesday; a near-miss with Jersey & Guernsey on Thursday; and nothing came to mind either Wednesday or Friday. Instaget on the tiebreaker, though I didn’t note the additional TOM (April at the start of the clue, and June at the end of it) until Friday afternoon.

Likely would never get Antigone but I know how to pronounce it
I suspected a French connection and I know the islands from the cattle breeds but no guess, my best effort was to make a group out of "Isle of Men". :P
Hair bands are not my thing, I have heard of him (them?), envisioning spandex pants and trying to un-see it.

NHO Beauregard or Mandeley. Runymede is a memorable name for me somehow, just like Crispus Attucks. Well, so is Beauregard!

For the city folks - Jersey and Guernsey cows are the quintessential family cow. Very docile and sweet animals that give a very heavy buttermilk content for those into clumpy raw milk. If you are judging them, they should have buggy eyes that you could knock off with a yardstick. My dad had one of each, but I don't like milk to this day.

Through my own clumsiness, I was spoiled on Wednesday's FJ! I have no idea whether I would have figured it out, given a chance. 5/6 otherwise.

Haven't yet seen anyone admit to my silly hastiness in barely glancing at the "Literary Homes" clue before blurting "Sunnybrook Farm." I guess I'll take a singleton on it. Oh, wait, no bonus for that here.....
I'm not the defending Jeopardy! champion. But I have played one on TV.

The "getting a signature on the banks of the Thames" line made me try to think of some public space where pollsters or petitioners might hang out in present day.
