We traverse the land of Skyline Chili on the way to my husband's old stomping grounds in eastern Kentucky. Noodles or no, I have to say I appreciate their use of coriander.

I don't care for it either. I had a free sample at the food court at Washington Union Station and didn't place an order.

Now Stagg steak reserve chili, that's good stuff!

Im originally from Cincinnati, and grew up eating Skyline. My wife is not from there, so on her first trip to meet my family, I made sure to take her there to see if she would like it. Fortunately for me, she did--if she didn't, I don't know what that would have done for our future prospects!

When we were overseas, we were also known to plan flights in around mealtimes specifically to get it on the way home from the airport.

Anyway, that bonus question made my heart happy....and now I really want some Skyline!

... I knew 11 of the 12 Lombardo tunes (tho I prefer versions by more hip, swingin' artists...) Also had correct answers for 9 of the 12 jazz tunes (both artists AND title on six). Old music is kinda my thing. :)

Now, stand back and watch as I sheeeeeeeep the bleeeep outa both questions...
Well, so far so good... Didn't sheeeeeeep the first music q! (As a matter of fact, I got a singleton, and I actually thought I would do so with Whispering...)

So here I am in the lead going into the Lombardo question... All prepared to sheeeeeeep myself right off the podium.

I knew three Lombardo songs and two titles. And I look forward to learning how CasketRomance has avoided both It's a Wonderful Life, Times Square on Dec. 31st, and countless other times the song can be heard.

At last we come to the end of TD 375. Don't forget that TD 376 closes Monday, so please remember to enter.

519 - ONTARIO

The most famous musical group to emerge from western Ontario is Guy Lombardo and His Royal Canadians. Listen to this clip and name one of these Guy Lombardo songs. Listen before using a lifeline. Most of them are EASY! (LETTER REQUIRED)

I have no idea why this generated so many complaints. 9 of the 12 had lyrics with the titles sung. The two most popular were instrumentals.

While I could guess a title based upon what was sung, I wouldn't be 100% certain, and I would hate to have gotten it wrong based upon omitting or adding a word. "Auld Lang Syne" was the safest bet for me, and thankfully a lot fewer people said it than I expected.

The title that had me unsure was "Copenhagen" as I had no idea if a "Wonderful" count was 0, 1 or 2. So between "Auld" and "Band" I thought it was an easy choice and yet it turned out to be no difference.

I find it amazing that anyone has never heard "Auld Lang Syne." Dropping it for strategic purposes of course is very logical.
